Yep exactly it was a dumb mistake but I understand not wanting to go in against a Monster like Inoue with not enough sparring.
Disappointing by Goodman. Really hope Inoue can find a solid replacement. MJ and Hearn have been talking a lot about deserving a shot at Inoue, lets see what they're really all about then. Maybe a tad too soon for Picasso as he been super active in the last couple months, despite against second rate opponents, if Picasso does fancy it then would be a good replacement for Goodman.
The replacement is announced by Ohashi, its Ye Joon Kim. Effin pissed at such a waste of time, but with the lack of time left can't ask for much I guess. ...Just fast forward to February already, siiiiiiigh.
That sucks. Inoue should move on, no guarantee it won't happen again and let's be honest this fight was a foregone conclusion.
Goodman is in the Casimero boat now...doubt he realistically ever gets a chance again after this. Inoue is fighting replacement Je Yoon Kim on the same day just so the whole card doesn't get scrapped effing up the rest of the undercard.
Its Ye Joon Kim, its officially a stay busy fight now. Despite what Picasso said, Top Rank wasn't going to let him fight a month after his last fight and same for MJ, he wasn't really gonna fight a month after his last fight.
Yeah that's likely the case. This was his one chance to fight an elite and make really good money and they've blown it. While I believe the injury is genuine, you have to be a moron to not protect the still healing cut by wearing a full face headguard in sparring. Because of that decision he's blown a 7 figure payday.
Goodman is either a moron or scared shitless. Maybe both. He's wasted Inoue's time for half a year now, messing up his schedule and the opportunities of every other elite fighter at bantam, super-bantam, and at feather like Junto, MJ, or one of the 126 champs who Inoue could've already fought by now.
He won't be needing one for a while...he's gotta get plastic surgery according to his promoter which will sideline him for 6 month apparently.
Yeah, ever since the Tapales loss MJ has acted like a diva but he is still a very good fighter and would be a nice scalp on Inoue's ledger.
Looks like Inoue will be facing Kim Ye Jung according to his IG. How annoying that he’s had to waste his time on someone that’s pulled out of the fight twice. Time to move on from Goodman. And hopefully we can finally have MJ next in line after this.
