JMM has a habit of getting punched in the face. Lost count how many times he has been down. Great technical boxer though, if he could avoid getting clipped he would be fine winning most rounds but he will definitely get clipped lol
Oof, at feather? Man that is hard. Inoue has never seen a counterpuncher in JMM's league (closest being Donaire) ...but also JMM wasn't difficult to put on the canvas and Inoue would perhaps be the most brutally efficient finisher he would ever have faced...yes including Pacquiao.
Inoue imo would win, but he is getting hit often on the counter and it's far from a domination I think he's technically better than manny, especially at the lower weights and manny relied a lot on his left early on. I think inoue wins on points, it's close but not controversial
JMM had a leaky defence Inoue is too small though JMM was 140lbs+ full hydrated though. Inoue looks nowhere near that. Plus JMM was on that special p*ss and PEDs regimen too which made him a monster.
If only they're of the same size, then Inoue. Faster and quicker (feet, hands, body, etc.), more explosive, high IQ, punch selection, he can fight and win a chess match, etc. He won't get outboxed, he's not reckless, he has patience. Unlike Pacquiao who was tailor-made to JMM. Revisit MAB-JMM, Barrera could had won that without the point deduction and if the legit KD was honored. It left JMM with two bleeding eyebrows. If a faded MAB did such, then Naoya would do something similar too.
I have to think that Inoue would approach this much more cautiously than he did against Fulton. He'd pick his spots and would concentrate on his footwork. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Donaire hits as hard as JMM so Inoue can probably take his shots even at FW.
