This opinion cheapens the lineal title. One consistency we should all have is "#1 vs. #2." If Rodriguez ain't that, than this ain't for lineal. Inoue has not done what is required. Tete awaits on the other half for that.
Why Tete? Tete's competition is no more proven at 118 than Rodriguez's Jose Santos Gonzalez, Victor Ruiz, Arthur Villanueva, Siboniso Gonya, Omar Andres Narvaez and Mikhail Aloyan are hardly the sort of guy to put you in to the #2 ranking at Bantamweight. Rodriguez with wins over Butler and Moloney has two solid wins. Tete might look good but his resume at 118lbs consists of errrrr....an ancient Narvaez, a never very good Villanueva and a blown up Aloyan The reality however is that Inoue (via the scale of McDonnell) and Donaire (via the scalp of Burnett) have legitimate claims to be the #1 and #2. Tete doesn't IMO. Nery also has a claim to be above Tete (despite both win over Yamanaka being tainted).
I'm saying when Tete beats Donaire and meets Inoue in the finals, that will be #1 vs. #2. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to see what I was saying my man.
