I always thought that Moorers boxing ability improved when he moved up to heavy. I guess he knew he had to change up fighting much bigger guys. He was still a good puncher at heavy but at Light heavy he was a big time puncher.

Moorer underrated boxer just lazy at times. Kind of reminded me of a bigger Jose L Lopez except didnt have the chin like Lopez did. Better boxer though.

and bowe and toney happen to be two of the best big men in recent history - kinda proving you don't really need to be scientifically computer trained as long as you know how to fight - ps I used to love watching moorer he was a brilliant boxer and a good hitter - beautiful to watch I thought - methodical style similar to louis - obviously louis is on a whole different plain but moorer deserves to be well remembered - just because you weren't in the same ballpark as louis doesn't mean you weren't a very good fighter

Moorer actually threw punches in bunches, something we rarely see anymore in heavyweights. He also had a pretty good variety of shots, uppercuts, hooks straight punches and a good straight jab.

That's what I see too...... Plus, Moorer hooked nicely of his right jab.....

The only guy today who can hook off a jab with precision is Wlad Klit....
