Name some fighters that weren't very entertaining for the casual viewer (that's an important disctinction), but were effective to the T. My picks: Wlad, Vitali, Monzon, Holmes and Money May.

Jack Johnson might fit the bill for me.

    Hopkins.
Dull unflashy style, no real signature wins.
Don’t really know when his prime was, dull in the sense that he was very good for a long time but never really great. Spartan diet and training to be massive at the weight.
But very effective at what he did nonetheless

Hopkins and May Jr ABOVE Jr. Welterweight were my 1st couple thoughts.
Since you guys beat to them.
Ill go way back in the past.
Anyone remember "Sweet " Saoul Mamby?
An effective boxer , but one may get better entertainment by watching paint dry....

I love watching Sweet Saoul, haha.

Monzon coul put a meth head on a full dose to sleep.

Winky Wright and Marlon Starling at times were sleep-inducing (if you don’t appreciate defense).

If Johnny Nelson weren’t such a full-on entertainer, he might make this list.

Some without eyeballs for the sport might include Maske in this list but I find him scintillating.

How Okolie has made it this far in his career by hugging people is impressive.

Here's an unexpected curve ball. (well reaching more than a little) Mike Tyson!
Before we ever saw the blasting combos and spectacular kayos/stoppages, eyes would dim watching the constant repetition of "grab break. Grab break." Given the usual size disparity and his opponents desperation to survive, it wasn't Mike's fault, but still.
