Yes your correct in all aspects apart from well paid my friend i can assure you i was not paid anywere near what i should have been paid,if i were to mention the amounts i was paid for the time and traveling to camps ect i done i'd be laughed at! lol. i listened and learnt on a daily basis under Peter but he knew i was doing a good job or i simply wouldnt have been there, thats just the way it is with Peter.
Now i work myself i can use my own ideas and methods as well as those learnt under peter and the end results are winning ones so far ( touch wood ).
To be fair to myself mate, Peter went to the AMS he left the pros we had without a coach without initally asking if i'd take over, thats when Alex Morrison asked me to train Ricky Burns and we clicked straight away, ricky wouldnt have asked Peter because hes simply not keen on him.
Without a shadow of a doubt Peter has been one of Scotland best ever coach and deseves huge credit for what hes done for Scottish boxing.
If your claim is peter done all the hard work in the gym is correct, answer me a simple question. If i done all the boxers pad work and john mc guiness done all there circuits what hard work was there left for Peter to do?:think
Whoevers chatting into your ear mate is only letting you know what they want to let you know.:good

Billy you should be IMMENSELY proud of the work you put in with Scott, and even more so that you have trained a world Champion of your own in Ricky.
Even if you were there just to hold the spit bucket with Scott(which you werent!!!!), its not about the journey, its about getting to the destination, and your the trainer of a world champion.
Being with Peter was a great education no doubt, just like Manny Steward learned his trade listening and learning to great trainers, Kevin Rooney with Cus etc etc etc etc. Thats how it happens, people look, listen and learn and then keep what they like, and change what they dont to suit themselves.

In another sport, Mourinho learned his trade at Barca being the interpreter, but watching Cruyff, Van Gal etc.

    What part was **** ?

Harrisons work and i didnt question such, is well up the leagues......from here to anywhere.........maybe am being biased.

Regardless, from what i heard, Mr Harrison is tight (and why not) and Mr Nelson certainly earned his badges......coin wise...i have heard different.

As ya says, he learnt from the best.......money dosent count there (agreed)......i will hold ma hands up, shoot me down.

Anyways, i did in fact say Billy Nelson was doing 90% of the labour and i dont take that back...he should of been......as would be expected.

Peter Harrison taking you under his wing is pretty special.

Hence why i says, look at how Mr Nelsons own gym is now.

Billy I am not doubting you did a lot of work with all the boxer and thanks for remembering John as I forgot his name but are you now saying Peter done nothing and in fact you done it all along with John . now before anyone thinks that I am having a go at billy I am no I think he served an apprenticeship under peter harrison and now he is the tradesman and is getting his just rewards and was paid with a education which has now benifitted him now and is now getting paid what he is worth. now I have watched this debate about Scott Harrison and Peter Harrison and feel to many have slated both these men with no reply from either these men . so billy I feel that you should actually thank peter and scott for your education on boxing the actual money you received was irrelevant as you been taught by the best and as such you have now progressed to be a
top coach in your own right .

My point was more about it doesnt matter how you get there, as long as you do. Some are privillaged enough to get a quick route to the top, some like Billy learn their way up the ladder. What matters today is that he is where he is, and for that should be very proud of himself.:good
