I'd pick SRR over many LHWs, but not the elites. Tunney's just too much for even SRR.

 

I concur. Just for fun, who is the best modern (80s onwards) LHW you'd favor Robinson over?

 

Tunney would be too big for any Welter weight. Some fighters would be too much for smaller fighters

 

Gotta go with Tunney in this one....he's considered one of the most intelligent fighters of all time...

 

Yeah, I don't like the bloke. But it seems like he was always in shape too. Not just resting on his laurels. Top boxer.

 

In all seriousness I think that this fight could get real ugly for Robinson depending on how hard Gene steps on the gas.

Yea I cant see Ray doing anything here. This fight ends the way Gene wants it to end weather it's a KO or he just beats the #### **** out of him all night.

 

I concur with everyone else here. Tunney was just a bridge too far...way too far. SRR still the GOAT however.
