attention all. this came from inside the Hayemaker camp.

K2 Promotions wanted a 2 fight option on Haye, which stated he would have to vacate the belt if he had a mandatory (Povetkin would have to happen in 2009) to take those fights. Haye agreed on the premise that those fights were a rematch with Wlad and a fight with Vitali, but K2 wanted to be able to put Haye in with anyone that is ranked by one of the 4 belts. Also Haye wanted the money to be 50-50 in the further 2 fights with Vitali or Wlad, and at least 1 of those to be held in the UK, but K2 said no to this and would only pay Haye a small percentage more for the 2 additional fights, even if they were agaisnt non Klitsckos and for the world titles.

Basically K2 would be able to promote Haye for two fights, force him to vacate the titles, not fight in his home country, and fight agaisnt guys like Ray Austin, Hasim Rahman, Tony Thompson and so on.
    no wonder haye said no.

Haye only wants to fight the best, and not get ripped off, and be allowed at least1 fight in the UK.

You should post this on the general Rob. What a bull**** offer, no wonder Haye didn't take it.

Haye is a brave warrior who wants to fight the best. that offer is an absolute joke. the klitschko are pricing him out because they are scared of the most exciting fighter in the division. plain and simple

have done. already people say "well wlads the champ of course he should have options"

another point was that if the fight was in the UK wlad would get a guarenteed fee, but haye would get a percentage of the fights profits. K2 promotions had it in the contract that they could spend the cash however they like, therefore if Haye won the title, Wlad could go of an buy 3million quids worth of hugo boss boxers shorts and haye would be left with nothing.

Vitali wants the fight, Wlad doesn't, simple as.

If this is true its a joke. Haye is willing to make sacrifices but K2 are being too unreasonable.

Rob, I'm not doubting your source, but would this not be a negotiation tactic? Ie the Klit's basically want more TV money from fight #1 so they've tagged on all these crazy extras in the hope that, during negotiations, these will all be dropped in exchange for the increase in TV revenue that they are after?

Or was this literally "This is what's on the table, take it or leave it?"

Interesting how Haye and Booth publicly talk about the negotiatiions as they have nothing to hide. The Klits however don't really say what is going on.

Haye is willing to give up alot. People like to make out that Haye is a nobody but Haye v Wlad does fill out a decent stadium in the UK.

you are probably right. Haye and Vitali had 95% agreed on everything, booth thought that K2 would agree to the same for Haye vs Wlad, they didn't.

Basically Wladamir doesnt want the fight.

Dimitrenko and Haye are number 1 and 2 with the WBO. Dimitrenko and Haye are number 3 and 4 with the WBC, with number 1 being Gomez, and nubmer 2 being Arreola and bothing getting title shots on the next 6 months.

Haye should just call on the WBC and WBO to call purse bids for an eliminator with Dimitrenko. Once he beats them Haye will become manatory for both Wlad and Vitali, and purse bids will be held. haye will get guarenteed 25% of the purse, no options. Haye would get the fight this time next year.

If Wlad doesn't fight then Haye will have no issue going for Dimitrenko. Beating him is a quality win and makes the fight even bigger.

I agree with Rob - if K2 aren't willing to make the fight at a price that Hayemaker is happy with then both parties will have to live with that. It's not as if Haye can demand the fight or enforce it.

Suggest opening up another front in negotiations if Schaefer looks to be make no acceptable progress.

An eliminator would do the trick for me and be perfectly acceptable.
