What do you copy from Ali? Because much of what he does are things that most do well to stay away from.
Diego Corrales was also a very good infighter. If your tall for your weight class and not a heavyweight he is very exciting to watch with his skils.
well im 15 54kgs (bantam) and 5'8 so im quite big at 54 but i sometimes fight guys who are 60 and im a dwarf to them but at 54 im real tall like Chico so thats a good call
Frank Klaus-Georges Carpentier. Klaus wrote the book on infighting... Literally. He wrote a book called "infighting a treatise on a long neglected art"
Id say James Toney would be best to emulate overall. Chico took a lot of punishment, but Toney was awesome at slipping and countering on the inside, someone definitely you want to watch, although I believe infighting like that is a GOD given talent.
definitly will watch him and mmight try and get his book Chico took heaps of punishment, On the inside i am defensive more like Toney, Mayweather etc.. and thats how im natural, im not trying to boast here but i have taken to it pretty well and just wanted to see fights so i could copy some more moves
Always felt Miguel Canto was excellent on the inside so was Olivares both different but both great. Johnson and Tunney control in the clinch was excellent how they could tie up and opponent beat them up their and just totally control the other man when they got close.
ok cheers will watch some of them but im not to keen on tying up because whats the pint of tying up when you cn hurt an opponent
Check out Chavez against Rosario, Such subtle defensive moves to slip punches then comes back with three punch combo's always capped with a left hook to the body. over and over again. brilliant.
