If any of it is true then what is he doing getting sparked by journeymen in the first place. If it happens this often in sparring then odds are Ruiz would have done it anyway.
I would feel for someone if they picked up an injury days before the fight and couldn't afford to pull out But if you are getting sparked in sparring that is no excuse .... it just shows bad prep and training .... and if you are getting beaten down in sparring then don't expect to win the fight Joshua is a flawed fighter and had those flaws exposed The exciting thing is that all of the other heavyweights have flaws too
I’ve met Joey Dawejko. Super nice guy. But if he’s knocking you out in sparring with headgears and big gloves your daddy should be taking you to the woodshed instead of being mad at Eddie lol.
Apparently AJ **** his pants in the dressing room in anticipation of his U.S debut and they had to get the cleaners in there wipe up the mess, which is why there was a delay with the ring walk. Barry Hearn was also called in to there to give a pep talk as well as reminding him of his contractual obligations
If that was true they wouldn’t be playing grab ass with Wilder and would have made the bouts and retired off two losses. Now he’s gotta get by Ruiz to get to the payday.
These rumors surface every time there's a big upset. I don't believe it just because it's getting circulated.
What on earth are you talking about when you say ''if that was true''? Those sparring stories which I mentioned are not make believe, it's well documented and confirmed that they happened.
Why was his dad on film having to be forcibly restrained from confronting Hearn then at the end? Pissed off about the seating allocation he was given? Give me a break, Hearn has been pimping out Joshua and now it's all come crashing down in spectacular fashion.
It does sound like something was weird with this fight. It reminds me of Douglas Tyson in that AJ came in with something off but at the same time his opponent rose to the occasion. the problem is a loss like that has a detrimental effect. not so sure Joshua can recover. to mentally overcome a beating like that in a rematch is a big ask, soon as he gets clipped and hurt it will all come back.
He received a PTSD beating which means he will get constant flashbacks and doubt haunting his mind every time he gets hit on the chin in future fights.
The rematch will answer a lot of questions anyway, if he gets clipped and physically crumbles again like this it wasn't because he got ko'd in sparring. unless he does indeed get ko'd in sparring again the week before, funnier still imagine he didn't get ko'd in sparring this time but dose next time.
Plus, when you get repeatedly knocked down in boxing, there is a physiological "protection" response which means that you reach that stage with less and less effort required. The body and brain does this to protect itself. Think Khan and a myriad of other boxers who became more and more chinny as time went on.
