Anyone have any general tips on positioning and concepts on inside boxing? Head to head? Shoulder to shoulder? What makes certain fighters get hit less when on the inside than others....

lead shoulder forward, preferably in your opponent's chest has been the best defensive posture in the inside for me. Then use the lead forearm to push off and create a little space to sneak an uppercut in

^^ that works well but some guys will have one of their hands on the outside and will start banging to the kidneys or throwing rabbit punches.

    Pisses me off lol

You will get hit if your opponent knows what he's doing. Try pulling your butt slightly backwards to avoid kidney punches and position yourself slightly to your left, you will have an opening for the right uppercut to the liver but your opponent will be in a difficult position to throw anything. Put your head next to the opponent's head. You will see uppercuts coming and at the same time you are protected from short hooks to the head.

You can also trap his arm when he tries to hit you with the right hook to the body and then punch a hole in his body with your right hand.

When im inside fighting i like to position my left hand inbetween my opponent so i can thro small uppercuts with it and at the same time my right hand is ready to throw a powerful uppercut to the body or head

I did this A LOT last night in sparring. I even found a hole for my straight right hand inbetween his guard. It didnt always get through to his face, but he was worried enough about defense that his offense stopped.

I'd like to add though, I OVERused it, and eventually got uppercutted under my left. So... be careful about doing it for too long.
