Anson Wainwright You drew with current Middleweight champion Sergio Martinez, many people thought you actually lost that fight. What are your thoughts on that fight? Kermit Cintron I have to respect the judges they had it a draw. I felt I won the fight. I think it was a close fight but that I won it. I should have fought the twelfth round after they took the point from Martinez. But decided to waste time thinking I won the round but they ended up giving the round (to him) and thats how it ended up being a draw.
But do you think Kermit got frustrated not being able to hit Yusaf cleanly or something? Was Yusaf backing him up? What didn't go his way that made him submit mentally.
Didnt you work with him for the 1st fight with Margarito I remember seeing you on the broadcast during the prefight show... Well you were a part of that loss, the reason he was 24-0 with 22 knock outs is cus he hadnt really stepped up in class until that first fight with Margarito. this **** you keep saying here shows us what kind of people you are, you think that you deserve all the credit here, when in reality you did a very small portion of the work Kermit still had to go out there and fight nobody was in the ring helping him.. No matter what Trainers IMO should never take any credit for what their fighters have done.... the fighter took all the risk he should get all the rewards its easy to be the conditioning coach its easy to be the corner man giving instructions... whats not easy is to continue to follow those instructions when your getting hit back... Get off his ****ing back already its not his fault that you havent found work since...
I had 40 amateur fights. So I am pretty sure I know what happens when getting hit. I also know that my corners instructions has helped me win fights. It's quite obvious you know nothing about boxing because if you did you wouldn't make such an uneducated statement. As for being part of the Margarito loss. Kermit chose to listen to his girlfriends advice on how to train, and what to eat. He ignored everything that got him to where he was. So no... I do not take responsibility for that loss. Had he trained like he normally trained, and followed the game plan that was given then yes I would take responsibility for that. I fought, I train fighters from amateur to world class, and I manage fighters. That is where my experience comes from. You on the other hand watch boxing on tv, and give your arm chair opinion through a boxing forum behind the anonymity of a computer screen. Have a nice day!
Honestly I can not really fault Cintron for last nights showing, Molina had a funky style I mean he was in front of you but invisable if you know what I mean this kid was like a wet bar of soap. Cintron was making mistakes in there of stepping straight back and waiting a bit to much but I also think the style of molina kept him guessing...
As Isaid it all depnded on how the first round as Kermit is basically a front runner. If he finds success early he is going to **** you up, and if he doesnt find success early he is going to come apart round after round.
World class my ass Cintron is the only fighter you have that you brought up to gain that title.... and so the **** what if you fought as an amatuer.... you know there are trainers in the pros such as yourself who claim to be good trainers vocally but in reality they are ****... You got your own thing going as far as what you do, fine be coo with it, but to come here and cry cus your not getting a pay check or any TV exposure is ****ing as sorry as it gets and that is what your doing, your trying to elevate your status by degrading this kid... I am sorry that you havent been getting the exposure you want to get nor the pay check your after, but thats part of the game to you knew that before getting into this game... But for your own ****ing sake just because things are not going as you want them to go it doesnt mean you get to come here and act like a ***** about it... then again you have been so who really knows the truth about you is, Cintron gets the attnetion you want and your here to try and get some of that cus you feel left out
Hmmmmm so how many world class fighters have you developed from the beginning of there amateur career to a world title?? How many fighters have you had fight on HBO? SHOWTIME? NBC? PPV? I also worked with Hasim Rahman for 7 fights in which he went 7-0 7ko's, and did so while bringing his weight down from 308 to 240 range. Julian Letterlough. Not bad for a guy from a small city like Reading. As for exposure... where did I say I was looking for exposure. Credit for what we did for Kermit? Heck yeah. We earned it, and deserve it. Kermit has no reason to say the things he ha said about Marshall, and I. the fact that he said the things he has said is just another indicator of what kind of person he is. the same lack of character he shows as a person is exactly what fails him in the ring. NO HEART. So as I asked earlier... what have you accomplished in boxing that puts you in to position to critique myself, or any other trainer?
Conditioner-I've really enjoyed your posts-its interesting to hear info from people from the inside. Question:If Cintron begged you guys to train him again would you guys forgive him and do it?And have you ever run into Cintron face to face since he betrayed you guys?
i appreciate your contributions to this forum and the insights on kermit, which can apply to other fighters as well. i see some kermit cintron in zab judah. there are some serious mental case dickheads on this forum. you are not one of them.
I enjoy talking boxing with fans.... as I am one myself. There is a lot that goes on that fans never get to see. I would not train or associate with Kermit under any circumstances. Not for any amount of money, or any apology he could come up with. Yes I have seen him... he does what any coward does... he puts his head down and avoid looking at me. He also had mutual acquaintances relay a message to me that if I confronted him in any way he would have me arrested.
To me it sounds like Conditioner has been spot on with all accounts here. Cintron is a mental disaster. Last night he looked worse than I have ever seen him I think. He did look soft and his punches weak. I also found it interesting that the broadcast team mentioned he thought the year off would be good for him and that he wanted to spend time with his kids, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but I wonder if we are talking about kids from the same girl here that tows him around with her vag???? I remember him being so confident after Margaritos pounding of Lujan in the after fight interview on ESPN. Then what showed up to fight Margarito was a joke, a quit job. He hasn't been much since and surely he's at best a gatekeeper now. Thanks for the inside info, I didn't hear any smearing, I don't get some of these guys.
It's always a pleasure talking with "real" fans. I don't come here to lie, or exaggerate. Everything I have ever said has been an absolute truth. It is funny how people get so personal when they have a difference of opinion. We are all entitled to have our own opinion. So easy to be brave behind the computer. I laugh to myself when I imagine the reaction these people would have if given the chance to speak to me face to face. How quickly there tone would change. A good example being the responses i will get from this post. Lotsa internet tough guys gonna be chiming in on this one.
How did you see his fight last night he looked gun shy ? Thanks for posting those facts by the way ..
