I am not giving you guys an opinion based off what a I see of Kermit based on watching a few fights on TV. What I have said is based off of training him, and living with him for years. It is what it is. He is what he is.
Yes we are talking about the same girl.

Conditioner I have a question for you. When you first started this thread you mentioned that what you guys did to get Cintron ready for his fights was to constantly have him spar with very experience fighters. In your opinion, had the fighter tried something out of the norm, something that he hadn't seen in sparring, would that have hindered him through some of his fight because of his lack of mental toughness?

One other question what did you guys start with to get Cintron ready to begin sparring, what was your main focus? Thanks for your time!

He looks to have lost it all now. Even his physical advantages are fading. We trained Kermit according to his physical tools. Height, reach, chin, and punching power. Everything was geared around making the most of those attributes. Kermit was a come forward behind the jab PUNCHER. He had skills as well, but they were often over looked because of his power. But, you don't land punches if you don't have skill.
Kermit is not Juan Diaz. he is not going to throw 120 punches a round, and he is not gonna throw 8 punch combos. He is at his worst with Ronnie Sheilds, better with Steward, and was best with us.
They say the last thing to go is power.... well.... it appears that has left him now as well.

Agreed Kermit is not Juan Diaz he looked like a novice in there last night couldn't find his range .I always thought Kermit had the tools but considering what youve shared with us its mostly mental like you stated .

Shame he's slipping im sure since you worked with him its even sadder to see since you know his full potential ..Thanks again brotha for sharing :good

Early in his pro career Kermit "liked" boxing... it was fun for him. He didnt do it with the belief that he had a future in it. Mrshall and I saw something special in him with his power, and natural ability.
When he wasn't looking at boxing as his future, but rather as something fun... he was better. He tried harder, and it didnt matter if he failed because he didnt take it seriously. But what happened was be got better... FAST! He was competitive against these guys from very early in his career.
I think his own success is what bread the lack of confidence. When boxing was no longer fun or just something he did it became to much for him to handle.

My pleasure. It's always fun talking to genuine fans. As for Kermit... he made his choices, and when you do bad to others... it always comes back to you. He should have stayed with the people that believed in him when he didnt believe in himself. We were good to Kermit in every aspect of his life.
I was never upset that he failed as a boxer... I was upset that he failed as a friend.

I give more credit to Molina than taking away from Cintron. I think Molina would give anybody problems and Cintron can still beat alot of guys at 147 including Berto, Ortiz, Juhah, if he comes up, Collazzo etc..

Do you think Cintron should consider going into MMA? Dana seem to ignore his request at one point when there was trash talk about Floyd feelings to the sport. Cintron quickly said he will take Dana's offer at anytime but I guess Dana ignore him. I know its been mention Cintron was very good with his wrestiling skills.

To answer your question I have not worked with any world champions nor elite pros, However if I did I wouldnt be sucking my own dick over it, you on the other hand and you wont admit it, you only bag on Cintron cus your not on the payroll had he still been working with you guys you would not be saying this **** right now.

So to be honest, your bashing on the kid basicly because he left you, I am sorry but that **** happens in the sport learn to take it like a man stop degrading him each time out...

and I am sorry but if I had a choice between Stewart and this bum who do you think I would roll with?
