I clearly remember that fight against Margarito. The video of the crying is going to follow him the rest of his career, perhaps beyond. What amazes me is that he refered to his previous trainers and management as "amateurs." When Cintron stepped into the ring with David Estrada, a man over whom he has a style advantage, he did not perform all that well. As a matter of fact he repeated most of the same mistakes that caused him to take a beating from Margarito. Again he performs the same way against Feliciano. What the hell good did it do him to switch to Manny Steward? Whose decision was it to take the fight against Margarito?

This is good stuff. Thanks for the enlightening info concerning Cintron. Steward may be able to teach him a few new tricks but once the going gets tough again Kermit will implode once more by my estimate. Manny is going to find out that you really can't change a person's basic personality at its core. Now if Cintron was blessed with Feliciano's spirit and courage he would be close to impossible to defeat. Steward keeps saying that he wants Cintron to rematch Margarito in interviews but I wonder if he has changed his mind after his last fight. In fact, I would be surprised if he is still willing to go through with the Williams fight.

its funny about kermski... cause everyone gets so worked up about dude... but honestly i cant see how any one would have seen more than 2 fights from dude.... unless they were HUGE BOXING fans... the only fights that were easily excessible to my knowledge was the fight with marg and the fight with muriqi... people are all worked up about his ko power but really how are people so sure
    damn so you have

    2.marg (interchangeable)

    4.floyd
    5.cotto
    6.berto

    9.cintron

why williams so high? hes one of my favorite up & coming fighters with berto but i just dont think he would be able to take all that abuse from cotto.... i personally believe cotto is #1 .. floyd s also one of my favorites but i dont think hed be able to defend all the shots that cotto has

They did spar I remember reading about this earlier in Kermits Career. He's from Philly just like BHOP and they really did spar and the sparing got intense from what I read. But this was way back earlier in Kermit's career!

Bucks County is still not Philadelphia. And Bucks County acutally borders Philly, so the county itself is not 25 minutes outside of Philly. Also, you're from Bucks County? My parents live in Fairless Hills.

Here's the thing, it sounds to me like conditioner is mad and looking to smear cintron. he says that it is because cintron smeared him, but i havent really seen that. i have heard him say that he knew after the margarito fight he knew it was time to move on, because he didnt think the team he had were going to take him to the next level that he wanted to be at. that is about how bad it got. As far as trainers and managers go, it is their job to keep a fighters eyes on the prize. obviously dudes are going to have days where they dont want to do stuff, work hard, not focus, but the right team will keep them focused. They will take them away from their distractions, etc. Listen, i think Marhshall and you did a wonderful job with cintron early in his career. he was a monster, and still is. I just think it's really messed up that you need to come on here and smear him. and that is all you are doing. you say you are defending yourself, but you arent, you are attacking him. why? i havent heard marshall doing this.

i am from bucks county, and it takes me 25 minutes to get into philadelphia, 35 minutes into center city (depending on traffic). but no matter, im not trying to pick a fight. it just seems that misinformation flows around these boards like water.

So you are saying he never boxed before the age of 19? According to Wikipedia, it states he used to wrestle AND box and later turned to boxing full time when he injured his knee.

Obviously, wikipedia isn't always 100% accurate, but I want to make sure we are understanding the real facts here.

Sounds like you're bitter that he left you for Emmanuel Steward. NO version of Kermit beats Cotto or Williams for that matter :good
