There is a vidEo of him hitting the pads on YouTube and his knee is tapped up. He is 37 years old and has some crazy road-work work ethic; he is bound to breakdown. Even his stamina will not be exactly the same as he ages close to 40. Its his uncanny ability to get his second , third , and fourth wind that is amazing. Its what makes this fight with Chavez interesting. He is huge, strong, and can pressure With body shots. Sergio has to be healthy and on top of his game.

Cycling is not very demanding on the knees, its a low impact sport, unlike running. Besides, he didn't stay as a cyclist "long term" . If anything I would attribute his soccer playing to bad knees.

I have always seen Sergio bracing and taping up his knees during training. I think it's more preventing injuries than nursing injuries to be honest. The only one i hear complaining is Jr. about his flat feet. The funny thing is he has never complained about them in the past, why now? Is it because his trainers are pushing him hard for this fight and he's not liking it, so he's making excuses about his flat feet? I don't know man.

 

I read he had been doing his main cardio on a stationary bike for years now because of his knee.
I thought this was old news.

Looks to me like his knee is abit dodgy so has wrapped it... and will probaly go easy on it for 3 weeks.

Shouldn't affect his fitness and if it gives out in the fight (which he is ensuring it won't with them precautions) he can battle on anyway...

i have the same ****, his knee wont give out, its not the same problem as odlander solis, he has a tight band on the inside of his leg and it swells the knee and makes the shin splints alot more painfull, its not a limiting thing, once you get warmed up the pain goes away, he is a middle age man he will have wear and tear..

 

at least he doesnt ***** and out not fight because he has some discomfort, the viking warrior princess kessler should take some notes
