That made me sad and dead proud to be a fan of this sport at the same time. Please watch it and post your thoughts. Great work by HBO.

Saw this on a stream at 3:45 in the morning for the Paulie fight and had a tear in my eye. Touching stuff.

The bit that got me was when Arguello Jr talked about what his father said to him in the dressing room after the first Pryor fight. :-(

Thanks for posting this Jeff..watched it 3 times and each time i had tear in eye. 3 such great warriors and great men who left a mark on there fans and community for the right reasons.

I agree safc...i was choked when he said he just wanted his father to see him have kids. That and the bit when Ward said he miss Arturo dearly..hbo did themselves proud with this tribute.

I saw it on Saturday and cried like a *****. Don't know how it hit me so much, I've never seen any of the three guys fight except Arguello against Pryor. Makes me wish I was around the sport back then to watch these guys.

    You emo *******, Jeff:lol:.

Na, it's a brilliant tribute- I didn't realise it was that long at the time, though. TBH, aside from Forrest, I've only been thinking about Gatti and Arguello 'the fighters' not 'the men'. As someone else said above, watching that in the morning at the time and hearing Arguello's son talking about 'the man' really brought it home on a personal level- I must admit it caught me as well:-(.

    RIP all 3.

That was a great tribute, but also heartbreaking.

Listening to Arguello's son talking about after the Pryor fight would bring a tear to a glass eye.

    Thanks for posting that Jeff.

Yeah that got me too.... You can see his lad there is absolutely heartbroken. Life is too short. Suicide is just awful, especially for a man who achieved so much. He must have been in need of medical help.

I was never a huge fan of Forrest, never really gave myself a chance to appreciate his style and ability- it seems a lot of people were like that but the legacy he's left behind, helping the disabled etc is just amazing. His trainer hit the nail on the head with his words.

Gatti was always a hero of mine, I have the same tattoo as him on my arm and I grew up watching Alexis on my dads top rank VHS.

I loved that video, a lot of love went into creating that.
