As usual brilliantly made short film from HBO, If you can try to watch the legendary nights series they made especially the Chavez v Taylor.

 

That was pure class...... RIP gentlemen

 

They were all great champions.

 

Brilliant tribute to 3 great warriors and men in every sense of the word.
Arguello's son got me big style. When you loose your biggest inspiration and hero in life it's a loss like no other.

I've watched it every night since Sunday and it cuts me up everytime. I love it at 1:12 when you hear Lederman (I think) shout "Arturo Gatti" then gives a little giggle

 

If Gatti was a fictional movie character you'd think 'good film but the fights were a bit far fetched' What a warrior.

 

Yeah. Who else gets a little choked when Ward says at the end "I miss him dearly" ??

Amazing to think that these 2 could smash the hell out of each other for an hour and a half and turn out to be such good friends !

It is sad when Ward says he misses him. It was sad when everyone said they missed Forrest, Gatti or Alexis.

Arguellos son done it for me, about his Dad saying sorry in the dressing room and crying. He didnt need to be sorry.

 

Remember watching a docu when after their 1st fight they were in neighbouring hospital beds and thats where they struck up their freindship. It's like 2 war buddies from the front line only they were trying to kill each other. Could'nt ****in write it mate.

Its humbling in the first fight (I think) that at the start of the 10th and final round the ref asks them to come and touch gloves but insted they give ech other a big hug in the middle of the ring, step back 3 paces and then go straight for each other. Terrific :deal

 

yeh still a good video.

And Gatti really ****ed up Wards vision in that fight aswell.

Think it was Larry Merchant, just after Gatti stopped Ruelas. Never knew about Forrest's work with disabled kids, a truly great man.
