    It's a soft touch, but a somewhat deserved soft touch. He is coming off his career defining victory against his top rival. Soft touches under those circumstances usually escape fan scrutiny.

    It's not entirely unique to Floyd. But it is a testament to Floyd's success.

    I'd rather he fight someone better, but he gets a freebie after the Pac fight. This is obviously a way to gain more exposure for Floyd, but for his #50 send off - presumably against Pacquiao, or perhaps a rematch with Canelo/Cotto winner, ideally.

    I never claimed the timing was ideal. Did I? In fact I've maintained that the perfect time it should have happened, was from the original blundered negotiation - which I believe was March 13, 2010. That was when the timing was perfect, but Floyd and Pac both bottled it.

    Nonetheless, it's still a career defining victory against his #1 rival. The history books will always reflect this.

    Exactly...he fought the guy he was "scared" to death of and won... he deserves this kind of although i do think berto does better against floyd then pac..
