Everyone knows in boxing the challenger has to TAKE away the championship from the champion TAKE IT AWAY!

One example i would give his Mayweather vs Castillo

Castillio fought like the challenger he out gunned Mayweather in every department the compubox proved it

    any other examples?

That saying is an indication of how the challenger should be thinking, it is not a fact.

Well normally as a challenger you have more motivation and drive to win.

Just to annoy you boxing disaster I'll quote someone's list of some of Floyd's title fights he cherry picked!

Genaro Hernandez – 40 wins and 1 loss, Mayweather’s first title fight.

Diego Corrales – huge puncher and undefeated, favored by many going into the fight, came back to win the lightweight title against Castillo

Jose Luis Castillo – champion at lightweight, Floyd’s first fight at 135, defeated Corrales by knockout to reclaim the lightweight title
Lost imo but a valiant effort nevertheless

Carlos Baldomir – 7 fight win streak including wins over Arturo Gatti and Zab Judah, recognized champion at 147

Oscar De La Hoya – fought at 154, Floyd’s first fight in the weight class,

    Hatton – undefeated

Marquez – just knocked out Juan Diaz, Floyd wins every round after a 21 month break from the sport

Mosley – Coming off a knock out win over Margarito who had stopped Cotto

    Cotto – 3 fight win streak, Floyd’s 2nd fight at 154lbs

Canelo – undefeated, 15lb weight advantage, 15 years younger

Maidana – 4 wins and 3 knockouts at 147lbs, defeated Adrien Broner in last fight

And of course, Manny Pacquiao who get utterly bamboozled and nullified with brittle hands since Manny said it was only because of his shoulder.

You are digging a hole, when did Pacman fight Oscar, Mosley and Hatton? Canelo is a great win. Maidana is a good win, styles make fights just like Marquez and Manny. Margarito has several threads with both sides making valid points, there was also a poll where I think it was around 85% said it goes Mayweather UD so take it however ya want.

Pac has wins over bareera, morales, margo, clottey, cotto ext ext

Mayweather wanted nothing to do with margo Pac fought him despite the massive weight difference
