I was sitting behind a bunch of Cotto fans, and they started getting nervous around the 8th round. Prior to that, they thought they had it. I told my buddy that I thought Miguel appeared to be tiring, but I also thought he'd survive to finish the fight.

The atmosphere was great. As a true fan, I made sure to spend $30 to watch the "warm up" card the day before at the Hard Rock. It was televised on Versus, and you could stand at the cash bar for that little money and be 50 yards from the ring. Definitely worthwhile if you ever are in Vegas on the weekend of a big fight.

The Margarito fans had musical instruments and went around chanting his name the whole weekend. The roar in the arena when Cotto went down the first time was incredible. Too bad that memory is a little spoiled for me now.

I think the atmosphere at Pac/Morales II may have been a little better inside the arena, but the Strip was more rocking for Cotto/Margo.

It WAS a good fight, even though my fighter lost; but after the plaster incident I had to take back the credit I gave Margo.

Kenny Bayless is checking Cotto's gloves just before the fighters are introduced.... could this mean he also checked Margarito's??
