Mosley is still probably the 2nd best fighter at Welter next to Floyd. He shouldnt have to disgrace himself fighting Judah when he knows he beat Cotto landing the cleaner harder blows. He shouldnt have to step aside to let some young cat get a shot just because he's a decade older when obviously he still got it, putting the young guy on his bicycle the last 2 rounds.

I feel bad for Mosley, he is one of my favorite fighters and the only one at Welter the division full of the most hype jobs in boxing that can actually beat Mayweather.

Cotto beat Shane fair and square. . .Fraud ducked Shane.

I do agree that Gomez was a bad mismatch though, but that in no way excuses Fraud ducking WInky, SHane, Margarito and Cotto.

"Cotto increased his level of opposition another step when he faced Mosley at Madison Square Garden and "Sugar Shane" didn’t disappoint as he pushed Cotto harder over a longer period of time than any opponent yet. The fight’s ebbs and flows are reflected in the numbers as Mosley out-landed Cotto in seven of the 12 rounds in terms of overall numbers. However, the round-by-round numbers revealed two statistical ironies. First, puncher Cotto outperformed boxer Mosley eight rounds to four in jabs en route to a 98 of 288 (34 percent) to 71 of 439 (16 percent) edge. And second, boxer Mosley out-landed puncher Cotto nine rounds to three in power shots en route to an edge of 177 of 335 (53 percent) to 150 of 387 (39 percent). Yet when the dust settled, each man connected 248 times – though Mosley needed 99 more punches to achieve that figure.

However, Cotto-Mosley did not follow that trend as "Sugar Shane" was the more effective fighter in the final three rounds.

In that stretch, Mosley out-landed Cotto 62-51 and out-threw him 201-156. Most observers had Mosley winning the last round and fans were treated to the rare sight of Cotto showing signs of weakness down the stretch. Still, Cotto gutted it out when he needed to and the close unanimous decision in his favor was viewed as appropriate."

So being outlanded in nearly every category is beating someone fair and square? When Floyd gets on his bike he's going to outland you 2 to 1, apparently when Cotto got on his bike the last three rounds, he got outlanded 2-1. Mosley is 36 ****ing years old, a decade older then your boy. What a disgrace.

    Compubox is a joke.

It was a close fight and fair decision.

The Gomez fight was a stay-busy fight, yes, a terrible mismatch, but at least Cotto is fighting Margarito now.

I didn't hear Shane and Golden Snaggle Tooth demanding a rematch much either.

Mayweather was 30, Oscar was 34. Mayweather Outlanded Oscar in punches, power punches and connect percentage by nearly double the margin. Not only that, Mayweather was fighting at his 5th weight class.

Cotto was 27, Mosley was 36, they landed the same amount of punches yet Mosley proved to be the more conditioned fighter over the last 3 rounds and outlanded Cotto in power punches over all.

Cotto-Mosley was close enough to require a re-match. I agree Cotto should have fought him again. Of course, my favorite fighter is Shane, but my 3rd fav is Cotto so I got nothing against him, but Shane made him run the last 3 rounds. I still have Shane winning 115-113 . But I also think the Cotto camp knew they were lucky to get outta there with a win and won't fight Shane again.

How is it a disgrace when you just said Mosley is the only welter capable of beating Floyd? 36 or not, Mosley has shown he still has the goods. Kudos to Cotto for taking him on and winning the biggest fight of his career so far.

At least Cotto had to courage to get in the ring with Shane. . . when Fraud saw how Shane handled Collazo. . . he ran away.

Well said. I had it a draw personally. I think some people were leaning on Shane Mosley to walk away after the fight. He shouldnt have, that fight was too close for no rematch.
