Atlas couldnt predict a disaster in a hurricane if he tried. He's simply good for strategic breakdowns and such. Otherwise his predicting and analyzations always suck serious ass and laughed at constantly by the boxing world.

He, as well as yourself, forget that he fought WITH A SERIOUS GASH! How many fighters pulled out a victory with a big ass cut like that over the eye? Im not saying continued to fight with a cut...I mean pull out a victory?

Not only did he win with a big ass GASH over his eye, but he beat a SERIOUS threat.

Im not sure how many fighters would look good with a cut that big over his eye, let alone win. If Cotto wasn't confident, I don't think he would've continued the fight. I mean Calderon had a cut as well and he opt'd to quit while he was ahead...not because he's not a warrior, but simply being at THAT big of a disadvantage would be foolish to risk his career considering a loss nowadays puts fighters in the backburner.

Cotto to me seemed very confident. Calm and collected. He pulled his **** together in the last rounds and pulled out a W even with the going got tough against a VERY good opponent. I had my doubts myself when this fight was first signed. Clottey is a very good and underrated fighter. But Cotto came in, knocked him down in the first, adjusted his best with a HUGE cut, had him cornered in the 6th, and pulled out a great effort of boxing skill in the final rounds. Getting into a war with Clottey to show confidence with a cut that big against someone as accurate as Clottey would've been stupid.

People are reading FAR too much on the Clottey fight. If anything, the only thing I think Cotto has done is not always opt for the KO. If not being a machine terminator and eager for a KO means lack of confidence, then that is a short-sided view of Cotto. The man has learned NOT to punch himself out and to be more patient and conservative in his attack. I think if anything Cotto has become a better student of the game.

So **** what Atlas thinks and what you agree with.

SIDE NOTE: I concur with your prediction

cotto's a fighter. i don't think he's looking for one last big payday. he's got a few solid years left at least and i think he plans on using them to fight.

Ok ok, I take back everything I said - I think it's just, I don't want to see Cotto retire just yet, and if he does, in a positive way unlike Morales, DLH, Hatton and Margarito to name a recent few....

I really don't think Cotto is gonna retire until he gets a rematch with Margarito and busts up that cheating piece of ****.

I think we will be seeing maybe the last 1 or 2 of Cotto. But don't EVER questions Cotto's heart. I'm 100% sure he's going to do his best to lay wood down on Pacquiao.
