Read into this what you will, but...

I don't have a Sky Sports subscription, but I will certainly have a BoxNation subscription and I know a few other posters who are also in this scenario.

I wonder how much of an impact that will have?

If Sky Sports only brings in 100k Boxnation will be lucky to get a quarter of that. Obviously, people who post here are avid boxing fans; but for those who enjoy boxing, but wouldn't pay for it will be the main audience they'll miss out on.

Particulary when you can stream most fights these days.

The boxing scene is too fragmented at the moment, Hatton TV, Boxnation, Sky, ESPN. At least football = Sky, UFC = ESPN. If boxing was broadcasted more in this manner the audience would be a lot bigger.

Flexen, the same man that when asked who would win a fight between Floyd and Tommy Hearns, picked Floyd because Floyd beat "Chico" who happened to have something in common with Tommy... Height.

    That lad is a plank.

  9. I agree.

I'll be subscribing but I think it's a fundamentally flawed venture.

He ought to be sacked immediately for picking Floyd against Tommy Hearns.

Picking Floyd to last three rounds would be pushing it.

It would be intresting to know what the box nation veiwing figures have been like during the free period?

Ie: how many people tuned into Clev Bellew?

Good read. It highlighted the main reason why I won't be subscribing just yet. There's no guarantee that they'll be able to secure the big fights as frequently as they've currently been doing, on a permanent basis.

one of my mates went to Katsidis vs Burns. He is a casual sports fan. Watched Football, Tennis, Rugby and Golf mostly. Will casually watch boxing and F1. He went to the fight cos he got a free ticket.

I mentioned box nation to him and he didnt have a clue what it was.
