It would be a great fight if it actually happens

 

When Boxrec is the first one to announce a certain fight, it's usually bull****. WE'll most likely see a news like this on another website, not boxrec.

i like mayorga but santos i think will put him away early

 

Should Mayorga be allowed to fight for a title after the Mosley fight. Kirkland and Mayora should fight for an elimination or Angulo like it was suppose to happen in the first place. Don't get me wrong, Santos vs Mayorga is a good match. If it is true.

 

I'm intrigued but to be honest, I'd prefer to have seen Mayorga vs Angulo. This one depends on which fighter is on his meds the week of.

sadly, dan rafael, who, in some large way, really knows boxing has been saying some strangely ignorant and uninformed sounding things ever since he made the switch to espn. he seems to have started swaying with the ring magazine winds of hype and mainstream ignorance. it's sad to see one of the few relatively young big time fight writers/analysts go that way. his weekly blog on his stations website is always full of curiously absurd and uninformed comments about the fight game.

 

agreed. i still think, at this late stage in mayorga's career, it would be a good test for angulo. i'd like to see how he does against a wild swinging, unpredictable hard hitter. though, considering that mayorga did a pretty effective awkward box job hanging in with mosley for as long as he did in their fight, who knows what would happen. i'd like to see it.

 

is driz really fighting kirkland...boy, 154 is slowly shaping up..i used to call this a boring division but big fights are coming along...
