Int he post fight interview, Rogan asked him where he sees his career going from here, and to paraphrase, he replied; 'I'm looking to gain some weight and power.'

Has Brock Lesnar changed the mentality of Heavyweights that much? They're all pumping iron and taking steroids now?

You might have to at this point I mean Brock comes in at about 285 hell even for a fairly large Heavy like Frank Mir at about 240 hes at a huge disadvantage. Weight classes are there for a reason.

well obviously there are huge disadvantages to the smaller hw's like mir, velasquez, couture, vera when he was hw and if other hw's start to bulk up its going to decrease the quality of fights we see, especially in the striking department and overall action as cardio will suffer and fights will be at a slower pace

time for dana and zuffa to bring in 3 new weight divisions

As much as I can't stand Lesnar, he's not a roider. Gonzaga maybe wants to get bigger because he remembers how Carwin knocked him out:think

:patsch c'mon.... almost 100% of WWE taking roids. As well as almost 100% muscle bags in your local gym. Those things don't grow on trees you know.

WHat he meant is that Lesnar is not taking it now, Dana has Brock on surveillance 24/7...this would be ****ing disastrous. Also as big as Brock is now, he was over 300 lbs back when he was juiced up.

Imagine Brock on juice?, Goddamn, you need to put him in a handicapped match

 I could see Kongo, Velasquez, and Herring charging the ring with Dana standing behind them with a shotgun to make the fight fair.

Herring said something very similar, that he needs to be around 250 to be a HW. Splitting the weight division is not a good answer, the talent is thin as is, removing even more talent is a bad idea all around.

If you are 230 or below you can likely cut to 205, if you are 230+ but not Lesnar size, you can bulk up. It is sort of the point of the HW division.

If it did happen, which it shouldn't and won't, they need to lift the 265 limit and scrap the stupid superheavyweight division.

Increasing the range of what makes a LHW might be an answer, say up to 220lbs

    Good idea.

Remeber people we as boxing fans ***** about the number of weight divisions, we dont need the UFC and other MMA organisations going down a similar path.

On the other hand in MMA weight is more of an issue imo, seeing as a guy fighting as a big HW 240lbs can be outweiged bt 35lbs and be beaten via dry hump gnp or "lesnar style" still, I see a striker with good TD being able to beat Lesnar anyways so its not so much of an issue.

I dont want Light Heavyweight to increase I always kinda wished 205 would go to 200 to make it alittle more fair for the smaller Light Heavyweights. Part of me wants a Super Heavyweigh divison maybe 240 and over ? Something around that because I do think Brocks a good fighter but him having 40 plus pounds or in the Couture fight about 60 pounds does make a big difference.

Then you have a gap from 185 to 220 in between Mddle and Light Heavyweight.

I think that the weights are fine. I wouldn't mind seeing the UFC add at least one more lighter weight class though, below lightweight.

There is a superheavyweight division, 265+; it sucks all around. Gan McGee and Tim Sylvia had the only UFC fight in the division. It also shows what would happen if you split the division with the least talent in 2.
