I have just compiled stats from Eubank Jr, Sr and BJS careers.

Iv done it starting with Jr's 18 fights. Iv then taken Srs 18 bouts leading up to the Benn fight to prove he hadnt fought any better quality before stopping one of the most dangerous fighters in the world.

I wasn't going to bother looking at Saunders first 18 fights as id been led to believe as have a lot of other people that Saunders comp blows Eubank Jrs out the water but it was quite interesting. He does have his last two fights which I havent added but BJS career is nearly 3 years older than Jrs!!!

Eubank Jr 18 fights, 240 wins, 140 losses, 23 draws, 13 by ko

Eubank Sr 18 fights previous to Benn, 224 wins, 214 losses, 34 draws, 13 by ko

    Saunders first 18 fights, 228 wins, , 174 losses, 17 draws

Quite interesting to see Saunders opponents dont have as many wins and also have more losses. Yes his last two fights are better quality than who Eubank has faced but he has nearly 3 years as a pro on Eubank.

Eubank is facing the European, British and Commonwealth champ in his 3rd year whereas Billy joe Saunders is fighting someone who has faced nobodies 5 years in to his career!

Eubank Jr needs to get less lazy in the ring.

I think in this fight he will knowing he's not just fighting a cab driver but a live opponent.

Didnt that guy Eltirado or whatever, once do this?

He had about 50 fighters, and all the combined records of their first 30 or so opponents

Thanks for posting that. CEJ gets hate because of his persona and the way he appears to mock some of his opponents. The fact is the kid was fighting better opposition than BJS until the last couple of fights which you quite rightly have stated. Although they are still low level and fights that CEJ should win.

The fact he is fighting BJS at this point in his career show you that his team think he can go all the way because losing for either fighter will set them back. Just look at Degale and Groves one fighter won and has had two title fights since and probably will get another before the loser fights for one title.

...and to be fair, one individual fighter has 52 of those losses on Saunders record.

His last 5 fights have a combined record of 102-7

Emanuele Blandamura, Gary O'Sullivan, John Ryder, Nick Blackwell, and Jarrod Fletcher are really good wins.

So Billy Joe Saunders has five better wins under his belt than Eubank Jr has.

A common opponent between the two was Bradley Pryce who isn't really a world beater and not considered a good boxer.

So let's be realistic about this. Billy has fought the better boxers.

Losses don't mean anything as it all depends who's fought who.

This is exactly what I'm referring to. BJS has fought two fights that were better than CEJ but lets not kid ourselves they were still fights that BJS was supposed to win. They were not 50/50 fights this one will be.

    Try reading the first post.

Out of your list Ryder and Blandamura are the two better fighers. So are you saying that CEJ would lose to the rest? Its about levels

I'm going by watching the fights to see who's fought the better competition.

I think Billy has fought the tougher competition. Atleast three of Billy's last opponents are by no means easy wins for Eubank Jr.

Nick Blackwell gave Eubank Jr problems in sparring and he thinks Billy Joe will win.

I don't really know how good Eubank Jr really is at the moment because he's fought cab drivers so far. I would have liked to see him fight John Ryder before Billy Joe to be honest.

A year ago people were calling Eubank Jr a bum.

    How things change.

I mean he could be really good like his father.

    We'll see this saturday.

I agree he should have fought a Ryder or Blandamura because he hasn't it makes this fight hard to predict.

How anybody can call a young undefeated fighter a bum is a joke. You can speculate as to what level he will get to but even then there are world champions who are apparently bums. Nonsense.

Look at the names of the guys Eubank has fought in the last year:

    Frankie Borg (8-1)
    Sandor Micsko (22-5-2)
    Robert Swierzbinski (13-2)
    Stepan Horvath (12-3)
    Ivan Jukic (19-2)

These guys all have nice records, but they're terrible fighters. Saunders has fought far better opposition.

Son of Eubank is so many levels above the BJS's of this world it's not even funny. After he's finished sparking him in a round or two on Saturday night, he needs to step up to the elite level ASAP and put a whopping on Triple G.

'Eubank's dad Chris won world middleweight and super-middleweight titles during the 1990s and reckons his son is even better.

He even believes he is ready to beat world middleweight No.1 Gennady Golovkin.

He said: "So long as he keeps on doing what he's doing. He's got the potential to be something that I've not actually seen and it's exciting.

"It's not often I've been wrong when it comes to boxing so it's something to look forward to. I think this man changes the game. He beats Gennady Golovkin now.

"He is the danger. He has more talent than me."
