Here is a translated interview/conversation by a Polish boxing writer with Chris, the Nightmare. I translated the whole ****ing thing.

Was pretty surprised/impressed with Arreola, seems like an awesome, straight forward, laid back guy. Havent read many interviews with him or anything I figured him differently.

Confident but not arrogant. Awesome approach. Not acting like some *****, by constantly ridiculing and belittling their opponent.. to only later not deliver.

    =============================
bla bla bla anyways here it is:

You predict that you will lose quite a bit of weight for the Adamek fight, not weighing in more then 240lbs. Should I take this seriously?

CA : Nah, forget about it. That was a press conference, I had to say something. What I'll weigh on the 24th is what i'll weigh. My weight won't make a difference.

Even those who critisize you that you don't like to diet, admit that no matter what you weigh, you go forward, and don't gas, and keep a high energy level.

CA : Thank you. Maybe you want to be my trainer? We'll get along great and won't be looking at my plate (laughs). I've had trainers who kept telling me to jump on a scale every 20 minutes. The'yre all gone. I need my enchilladas, ice cream, good beer, and fried chicken to function normally. I'll eat what I want, and work hard. If I was slacking off during training, then the trainer could get on me all he wants, but not about what I eat.

    Have you tried Polish food?

CA: No, are there any Polish restaurants around to try something of yours?

My friend says theres a good restaurant around here in Santa Monica called "Warszawa". Tomek would feel at home, you would be in California..

CA: Right now I can't, but maybe a week before the fight, or soon after it? First you guys try some Mexican food, then we'll meet up for some Polish food and beer.

You seem more relaxed then normal, and in a great mood. Is this because you think you don't have to worry about the Adamek?

CA: No, thats not why. I am normally a happy guy, and everything that I have seen about Adamek suggests this will be quite a fight from both sides. I like this, and it's what I need. Thank God i'm a boxer and can let off steam in the ring. I have to take the oppurtunity to tell Adamek, that next time somebody asks why he is a small heavy, to hit him in the head. And if the guy is gonna be out, he won't hear it ever again. (This was in reply to Adamek saying at the presser that he is sick of people questioning his size at HW).

"Goral" is almost as tall as you are. A while ago you were standing next to eachother, there were no illusions.

CA: I was a bit surprised myself when we stood face to face. And he wasnt wearing heels. He is thinner, smaller, but how he ever weighed in at 175 is beyond me. Maybe I watched his fights with Briggs too many times, and I remember him much smaller.

Are these the only Adamek fights you've seen to this point, with Briggs?

CA: Those two, plus Estrada. I will watch the rest in a couple of days.

You are convinced that Adamek will be moving alot, and avoiding a slugfest, because here you are stronger, you hit harder.

CA: That's what will happen. Nobody will convince me that he will go punch for punch with me. He has a good chin, I admit it, but lets be real, no normal person stands on their feet after taking a straight right on the chin from a 250-260lb guy. There are no chins like that, not even in Poland. To this point nobody has hit him yet with the power that I dispose. This is a fact.

The general consensus within the experts is that Adamek is better techinically, but you hit harder. That this will be a battle of skill vs. power. Do you agree?

CA: Not completely. People don't appreciate that I can box too. That I know how to put together combinations, block, counter. People only remember the knockouts, they don't see anything else. Adamek is going to want to avoid a brawl, not get trapped in corners, against the lines. But I know there is something in him, like in me. That sometimes during a fight something goes off in his head and he says: "**** these tactics, you wanna brawl? Lets brawl!". This is what I anticipate. A Polish-Mexican American rumble.

    On the bleechers as well?

CA: You know what, I wouldnt be surprised. If it was 50-50. 5000 of yours, 5000 of mine, it can happen.

What do you respect most in Adamek? What is his biggest attribute?

CA: His calmness. You can't chew/figure this Polak out. Rock face, those eyes don't show anything, no emotions, as if you were starring into a well. Nothing moves him. He knows how to win titles, he has 2, I don't have any because Klitschko got me. And that he has big cajones, a real tough guy. That after two fights at heavy he wants to fight someone like me. And he has that fight with the broken nose. I like guys like him, not some lame pansies, who talk a lot, and then **** their pants in the ring. Me and him on the street together... nobody would touch us.

There's a man who embraces his strengths and his faults equally. He's going to take so much more **** for this but he doesn't care.

    No problem :good

I normally wouldnt because its too much damn work.

But Arreola came across as such a cool guy in this interview that I wanted to show it. A different view on the guy then you just see and hear on TV, or read most of the time.

Also worth a mention in the beginning of the article is Bernard Hopkins prediction for the Arreola-Adamek fight.

    "Adamek Decisively"

This interview shows why Arreola has so big popularity, while Haye doesnt. Show respect to the opponent, more box and less talk. I am curious what will Haye talk to Adamek if Adamek wins over Arreola and Haye wins over Ruiz and the fight (Haye-Adamek) is on. I know how Adamek would react for such talk: "I will leave my answer in the ring"
