man, if people only knew how many fighters use knuckle pads, they would back off until mid march when the results come in...

Maywetaher uses padding on his knuckles that looks like foam.

Check out his wraps after his fight with Gatti.

That just protects the knuckles more and actually weakens the impact of a punch.

    Margarito used something HARD!

Since when has knuckle padding been HARD?

Thats true. But they don't use knucklepads in a fight. And knucklepads sholdn't be hard and inflexible and wet. Either way its illegal but I guess we should wait for the tests just to see how bad the situation is.

I'm sure that contexts of the gloves were illegal but the that covers everything from the wrong sort of tape to a horseshoe being in the glove. Best to wait and see before words like "plaster" and "loaded gloves" are used.

    it wasn't hard fool...
and you best believe that compressed, floyd's wraps are the same as margos...and they're even used for the same purpose, TO PROTECT THE KNUCKLES...

floyds wraps aint the same as margo's

and margo's wraps were defined as being hard and firm, not hard as rock but HARD

here is what was said in the LA times

The state inspector who supervised Antonio Margarito's hand wrapping Jan. 24 at the Staples Center testified this morning that Margarito was found to have a suspect bandage wrap inside a knuckle pad that was to be placed atop both his fists before a title fight against Shane Mosley.
Inspector Che Guevara testified that in three years and 150 hand wraps he had never seen such a pad.
"It was sweat-soaked, thinner and harder in certain areas, not hard as a rock, but firm and hard," Guevara said, adding it had a stain "like old blood" on it. "It was not flexible. It was very firm."
The harder pad was first discovered, Guevara said, by Mosley's trainer Nazim Richardson, who oversaw the wrapping. Margarito's taped right hand was then unwrapped, where another harder insert was found. State commissioners felt the insert in a plastic bag today

    :good

listen, i aint comparing the two exactly, but they are used for the same purpose, can we atleast agree on that.....i dont even think what floyd does is legal, but since he does it with wrap, i'm sure they dont even pay it no mind at all....

I can clearly see that Floyd's hands were wrapped in a way that made his punches weaker and not harder.

Floyd's got womens hands and needs to protect them.

Floydls wraps made his punches softer, not harder.

He still beat the crap out of Gatti with pillow fists though. :yep

because it is illegal and against the rules....now, THE REAL QUESTION IS, WHY DID THE COMMISSIONER ALLOW IT :deal:deal the first time....
