A judge named Dick Flaggerty (SP?) was first assigned to the fight, but is a friend of the Roach family, and has been a judge in Roache's own fights in the past. Roach contacted the NSAC and told them, and at that point he was taken off the fight.

Good call by Roach, very good call.

Another thing- Roach on the 3rd fight, "They will definently fight again".

Good news on the 3rd fight. I think it will be at 135 where Pac will take David's belt first. im confident Pac KO's him in the 3rd, he just needs more violence and take more risks. He could very well get KO'd but amongst all that wildness, it seems he really only needs 1 good clean punch to crack JMM unlike MAB & Morales.

Roach is a good dude. He's been wrong before...but he generally is a good guy who has his fighters best interest at heart.

Even if he wins, he will not KO JMM.

Problem with Roach is that he has become chummy with PAc that watever he says PAc does the opposite. The fighter trainer relationship no longer exists

Its bigger than it may seem though. If Roach had not done that, the controversy would take new form and would never been lived down (if that judge had even so much as a questionable round).

wow my respect for him as a person has increased by far. Great fight on saturday although I am a Marquez fan I thought PAC should have done a little more to deserve the belt but I dont discredit his win, a win is a win.

Had that KD occured earlier in the 3rd, IMO he would have finished it. Even in the 10th, had Pac had more ferocity and just gone for it he definetely could have put JMM down. If anything, I expect him to be outpointed in the 3rd fight should he fail to KO JMM. Thats because if he fails to KO JMM, he has opted to box and boxing with the best pure boxer in the game outside PBF is too damm dangerous.

Another interesting note, Dick Flaherty scored 117-111 for Cory Spinks against Jermain Taylor... HBO's Jim Lampley called it a travesty and that that judge should never judge a fight again, check it out!
