    Manny Pacquiao ---- 5' 6.5" -- 67" reach

So, Morales and Mayweather have the exact same physical dimensions (except Floyd is heavier) as each other.

Of course, Morales is the last man to defeat Manny Pacquiao. He did so by craftily outboxing the Filipino champion in 2005.

Pacquiao certainly has improved since that loss, including in his two subsequent stoppage wins over Morales.

However, there's also no doubt that Floyd Mayweather is faster and better than was Morales. He is also bigger.

Will Mayweather be able to put on the same kind of boxing clinic as Morales did in 2005 against the Pac-Man? Or worse?

Morales and Mayweather are two different type of fighters. Also notice Pacquiao had more trouble against guys who not only countered but threw combinations, something Mayweather hardly does nowadays.

A better comparison would be Marquez, who put on better performances against Pac than did Morales. His counter-punching style and adaptability is similar to Mayweather's, except Mayweather is faster and much better defensively, though less creative offensively.

I like Mayweather on points. Pacquiao may win on some bozo cards like Lederman for aggression and volume, but Mayweather will land the more meaningful punches.

Interesting, but I think the more fitting comparison is between Mayweather and JMM in terms of being counterpunchers.

Wow. why are there so many people saying that the first Pacquiao-Morales fight is a boxing Clinic? Do they even know what a boxing clinic is?

It was a clear win for Morales who fought a stupid 12th round.

I had Morales up 7-4 entering that final round.

Good points, guys, on the JMM comparison vs Morales. I was just thinking about height and reach, as well as Pac's last loss. Just another angle to think about is all.

    Thanks for the comments! :good

It was not a clinic but it was on the way to becoming a clear 8-4 victory for Morales before he decided to switch to southpaw.

I'm not saying it was Hopkins-Pavlik, but it was a good example of a more-aggressive fighter being outboxed. Probably a similar scenario, in that way, to what will happen in Pac vs PBF. Or at least what PBF is going to try to do with Pac.

Pac was being sold out by his promoter in that 1st Morales fight. Clearly that fat dude placed a bet on Morales.
