Morales showed Pac how it was against a boxer with the whole package. He was a vet with a granite chin and excellent boxing skills, with a height and reach advantage that shadows most featherweights. Amazing win against a hungry puncher with speed and everything to gain.

Some intangibles are different however in the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. Floyd won't risk exchanges and opening himself up. He doesn't need to. He'll want to outpoint Pacquiao. THat is the smart thing to do. Sure he'll get hit sometime, but he'll keep his cool and bank on his reach advantage. Mayweather doing what Morales did will be the stupidest I'll ever see him (and I don't think Floyd is stupid).

Pac on the other hand has great footwork going forward. He'll catch floyd sometimes, and I hope he'll hurt him enough to get him on his shell, score some rounds. Again it will be different from fighting Morales. The styles are different, both fighters employ physical advantages accordingly.

To Morales credit the guy is like a hard beef meat that needs to be tenderized. Pac definitely soften up Morales in the 1st fight (not the Raheem loss) that he may be ready to be cooked. Yes. Pac made Morales shot after that fight.

Morales was already on the down slope before that fight. He was also schooling Pac in the rematch until his legs gave out. Easy to beat up a worn out legend then claim you are better.

Jesus, his legs gave out because Pac beat the ****ing starch out of him in the 6th. Ended his damn career in that round.

Pacquiao had the wrong gloves vs Morales because of his stupid promoter Murad and he got cut early in the fight I believe 4th or 5th round and severely affected Pacquiao's vision and chances of winning but still manage to make it a close fight 115-113 despite the odds.

He didn't get beat up or Boxing clinic like some ******s here is saying!!

morales wins that fight 'cause of counter punching and fighting...

First of all, Morales is an ATG.

Second of all, Morales fights fighters in his own division so he's automatically better than Floyd.

Third of all, Pac fights fighters in his own division(s) so he's automatically better than Floyd.

Fourth, only idiots who don't know boxing think being a welterweight for 4 years and never fighting a welterweight = ATG.

Only idiots ignore the complete body of work of a fighter who became world titlist in 5 divisions just to satisfy a personal bias.

most sensible post of the day. slick fighting fans like to point out that it was Raheem who magically made Morales old overnight. He didn't do jack sh*t except land a good one in the 5th round.

Mayweather is going to overestimate Pacquiao..
