In the world of MMA that is a pretty insane statistic which is made even more impressive by the fact he's still fighting at 41. Do you think Rua would be the man to break this trend?
Yeah I honestly do, Shogun will finish the job that Rafa couldnt. Maybe not at straight kod, but Rua could rock him then finish with a sub If Hendo grapples then it will be a different story, but I think he'll want to stand and trade
Rua will stop Hendo IMO. Not a clean KO because Hendo is a ****ing stud, but probably a referee mercy stoppage. Hendo will try to stand and trade, but Rua is bigger, stronger, and a better striker. There will be fireworks, but Shogun will eventually break through.
I like Henderson's chances against Shogun. Not sure what everyone is seeing by thinking that Rua will run through Hendo. This isn't Henderson's first time at the dance with Chute Box.
I dont think he'll run through Hendo, will be a back and forth fight. Just think that if, and he's more that capable, Rua tags Dan in a similar fashion to Fedor and Rafa, then he wont let him get off the hook, he'll finish the fight. Dan's chin is showing signs of wear and tear these days, I dont think he can eat the shots that he did against Wandy in the hope of landing that right hand. Rua is a MUCH better straight puncher than Silva too, I dont think Dan will get the chance to stand in the pocket as Rua will use his reach knowledge to maintain a safer distance than Wandy did with his looping windmills And it's easy to forget he's a natural WW/MW too
I'm going with Dangerous Dan Hollywood Hendo henderson on this one. His chin will guide him to victory... Lynchburg
I watched Rua vs Coleman just now; interesting fight and had the ref not stopped the action for a moment for what was actually a legal knee to the chest it may have gone to points. Putting the surgery issue aside which obviously affected his sharpness what I noticed was Rua gassed relatively quickly. I've not watched most of Hendo's recent fights bar the Fedor one; how does his stamina compare? I really can't see Rua KO'ing Hendo via an outright punch & I see Hendo as the superior boxer. I do see Rua having great success with that leg kick of his though which would offset Hendo's ability to land punches. Very very tough fight to call. I just cannot pick this one at all.
Wouldn't be surprised at all. You can be far better than Hendo technically, but he really, really knows the timing of his right hand. I don't really think that is something that can be prepared for.. The thing is, I think Rua certainly has the potential to KO Hendo. Nothing would surprise me in this fight, unless it turns out to be totally dull. I'm a fan of both guys but rooting for Shogun.
The thing is Henderson brings a secret weapon to the ring that very few know about - the right hand bomb. If it connects flush on Ruas chin then believe it when i say its lights out Shotgun :deal :smoke
