Interesting take on the Hopkins/Calzaghe situation

What situation? This is bull****. People are blowing this out of proportion. Hopkins WILL beat Calzaghe if they met.

This is nonsense. Hopkins has gone on record saying the only fight that matters to him right now is Joe Calzaghe. The only way he would hold off until after the RJJ/Trinidad fight is if he needed more leverage. From the reports that both fighters have agreed to a 50/50 split it doesn't sound like either fighter is "holding out."

Definately agree with that, Calzaghe is rated that highly because he ducked for 9 years then took on 2 significant fights....fair enough he won them but this unbeaten record **** is being taken into account too. If Hopkins had faced the level of bums Calzaghe had faced he'd be unbeaten himself right now.

Whatever spin you Calzaghe fans put on it the FACT is this - Calzaghe has been 'talking about' fighting great fighters for years. Hopkins has BEEN fighting great fighters for years. No amount of bluster and bull**** from either side can change that cold hard fact.

 

It was a pure ***** move on Calzaghes part, fact is he just didn't fancy the job - he disgusted Johnson, Johnson said so at the time.

Imagine if Ali had pulled out of fights every time he had personal problems? Or Holyfield every time someone slapped a paternity suit on him :shock:
