im just rewatching his post fight interview of jermaine taylor after pavlik in the locker room

you can hear someone telling him clearly what questions to ask

i wonder now if the producers also told him to ask floyd after that baldomir fight

    Larry: "So Floyd..."

Come on guys... This is professional TV. Of course it's not Larry who's making up the questions, he is the commentator and the interviewer, that's it. It's not Max too. They are giving them the questions on the earpiece.

I most definately think they go over what to say (every step is mapped out way ahead of time) and give reminder or advice. For sure telling Kellerman what to say.

you might be confusing him with Kellerman or Lampley?

I've noticed the boxers rehearsing interviews in the ring before....a couple of minutes before the real thing. I heard Toney swearing in a rehersal and the guy telling him not to curse.

surely Merchant is not spoon fed all his classic lines during the commentary....no way.

They feed him questions, and he's of course allowed to use his own as well. That's what TV producers do. It was more noticeable in the Taylor interview than at any other time that I can remember.
