Amir Khan has just come off a win against Kotelnik and as we all know there is a lot of talent in the 140lbs division.

With Prescott loosing on Friday I think we can rule out any thoughts of a rematch with him so what next for Khan.

Who do you think he should fight next to gain some real respect ?

    The winner of:
    Junior Witter vs Devon Alexander

    The winner of:
    Timothy Bradley vs Nate Campbell

    Mandatory challenger:
    Marcos Rene Maidana

    Other fighter options:
    Dmitry Salita
    Paul Mccloskey
    Mike Alvarado
    Lamont Peterson
    Kendall Holt
Miguel Vazquez (Who just beat Prescott) He came down in weight)
    Demarcus Corley
    Jason Cintron
    Ricardo Torres

One fight he wants is Hatton. Although the hitman stops him before the final bell.

I didn't include the Hitman in the list because Ricky Hatton I doubt will be ready to fight when Khan is scheduled to fight next which might be towards the end of the year

Other than the £££'s (which are always going to be a consideration), I can't see any upside for Khan in a Hatton fight.

All things considered, I think it should be Maidana next.

They openly stated they're looking for to fight anyone that loses in a big fight, Marquez if he loses to Mayweather was mentioned, Hatton was mentioned and possibly Morales. Not sure how any of these fights gain respect.

    In ring Megazine Roach mentioned

“Khan wants to fight on U.S. television,” Roach said. “I think Khan-Maidana could be a big TV fight in L.A. or Las Vegas, but it needs to be built up. Maidana needs to fight one or two times more in the States. Maybe he and Amir could co-headline a card, and then they can get it on.”

So may be we see this fight down the road but not his next fight.
