seen a few interview's with Booth saying he feels old from the stress of boxing etc. wonder if he will take Groves on his journey

also will Groves retire at 30 like Haye looks likely too?

Groves clearly has the tools to go far but would changing trainer's set him back?

Changing trainers would be the best thing for Groves imo. His Haye copycat style that booth has taught him will not work at world level, it worked against a green James Degale and will work at domestic level. George has all the talent but he hasn't got the reflexes of Haye. Robert Mccraken is the man for the job!! He's a fantastic trainer and Sparring with Carl Froch regular would bring the best out of Groves.

The Dark Lord's time in boxing has come to an end. Next stop...World domination.

can see your point but think it would be jumping the gun a bit - Booth clearly taps into Groves' mind - fear could have killed him before Degale - as the press billed him as a clear underdog but he found a way.

Booth is still relatively inexperienced at pro - only really had Haye, Williams and Ant Small, can't argue with what he's done for Haye's career and as they say you've gotta take the rough with smooth i.e the massive win of degale but the loss to Wlad.

I think they can really go places together as long as Booth treats George like and individual fighter and doesn't try to iron out where he went wrong with Haye on George

I think Groves and Booth will be a great partnership, Booth gives George a lot of belief.

If Groves had gone to 95% of trainers in this country they would have made him a pressure fighter. He would do extremly well up to a certain level but his punch resistance is clearly not world class so he had teach him to fight in different ways.

I am sure its in Groves and Booths plan now to not be a pro boxer for longer than 10 years. If you compare Groves & Hayes career so far Groves is way ahead of where Haye was in terms of progression and name value.

After 2 1/2 years as a pro Haye was 13 fights in but had lost his only major fight. Groves has had the same number of fights but is undefeated, has the British & Commonwealth titles and has already headlined a PPV.

True, but let's be honest, that was possibly the worst PPV ever. The quality of fighters should determine what's PPV, but these days we seem to use PPV a yardstick to determing what level a fighter is. George groves was never PPV standard before the Degale fight, and he still isn't now.

    I'd agree with that.

not that it matters but the interest in Groves after the DeGale win was huge, he claims his Twitter followers shot up from 3,000 to 14,000!

I don't know how many on here will disagree with me but George Groves has got to where he is DESPITE having Booth in his corner...

The tactics against Degale were shockingly bad, in my opinion, and if JDG had upped the work-rate he would have easily won.
