I love training footage and have tons of it from all eras. I just got one of the oddest clips. Its Nino Benvenuti training for his fight with Rodriguez. Hes hitting the speedbag, shadowboxing, etc. and then, he performs a training feat which Ive never seen before: He on a pad with his back facing a wall in a boxing stance while his trainer throws what appear to be tennis balls at him and he punches the balls out of the air. Now, upon first look I was thinking it looked ridiculous but the more I thought about it I could see how it actually be really good for your reflexes. It certainly wasnt any more ridiculous than Roberto Garcia blistering Margaritos stomach by rapping it repeatedly with sticks, or Nazim making Mosley box foam sticks and swat at towels...
I was reading that, thinking damn that sounds good and looking forward to seeing a clip of it ...... then nothing! Come on Klompton, get it on here ....... and stick Miske-Dempsey on while you're at it :bbb
Might be more interesting if we could actually see it.:yep Peter Wilson, the sports writer, said that when he visited Marciano's camp ,Rocky had a little rubber ball on elastic, positioned over his pillow ,and he used to swat it around in idle moments.
