Bah, BS. Barrera exposed him so badly that it was fun to watch. Even when he tried to play dirty, barrera out-dirtied him, lol. He's not half the fighter barrera is.
I find that many people would enormously exaggerate what happened in the ring that day. Although Barera won confidently, this was a competitive fight and I honestly do not understand why Hamed receives so much hate for this defeat. Perhaps, this is what the boxing discourse is about.
People dislike Hamed because he was a contemptible ****, not because he lost to MAB. The detractors REVEL in his loss to MAB. As far as any exaggeration is concerned, MAB won 8 rounds easily, Hamed won 2 hard fought rounds, and 2 could have gone either way. In fact, MAB knew he was so far up, he slammed Hamed's head and asked him "Who's your daddy?", to which Hamed was helpless to dispute. The only exaggeration is lazy, 0 boxing IQ Hamed's so called "greatness" considering how easily MAB embarrassed him.
Ok,im sorry for talking ifs and buts and my points are all invalid,i'll reassess my opinions asap thanks
He lost by a few rounds, hardly 'embarrassed'. Prime, motivated Naz embarrasses Brrera. Take it to the bank.
I watched this fight a couple times and all I really remember is how underwhelming it was. It was a competitive but dull fight where Barrera put Hamed off his game but didn't exactly do a whole lot himself. He fought a very simple, cautious fight. Sort of like Mayweather-Pacquiao in a way. We'll never know if Hamed could have done better but he certainly didn't appear to be at his best and my guess is that Hamed at his best could've won that fight. I'm not really invested in that theoretical though, more nonplussed by the exaggerated nonsense that people say about the fight itself.
Obviously, you didn't see the fight. Besides that, how does Hamed beat MAB? Based on his unbelievable victory over Paul Ingle, lol? Or his ko of previously kod by Gonzalez Kelly, who dropped princess 2 or 3 times, lol? I'm afraid you're wrong. Lost by a few rounds lol. Watch the fight, please. It was an easy victory by a fellow that had much tougher fights against clearly better opposition. But while you're at it, make another excuse for your hero. And just one more thing. MAB slammed Hamed's head against the post and taunted him because he knew he was so far up. How is that not embarrassing him? Could you please explain that as I find that quite humiliating?
You found that fight competitive? I certainly didn't. Just what evidence indicates that Hamed at his best could've won the fight?
Hamed's trainer was not good for him that night, Hamed was a really good fighter, but he fought the wrong fight, Barrera deserved the win, but Hamed should not have retired after that fight............
