And it was against Ross Puritty, and he lost.

Surely he has to fight there again soon? He'd no doubt sell out the stadium x5, and he's probably eager to win in his actual home country (not his adopted ones) especially to expunge the earlier loss there

Random fact I know, but I just thought it was strange

(I also assume there are probably political issues that prevent the brothers from fighting there now)

I think he will in the future. He has to before he retires.
I just think that they wont get as much money in UA. People are not that rich, so they would have to lower the ticket prices probably

Really? Anything to back this up?

I can kind of guess some people may think that as they are practically naturalized germans fighting all their fights there, but.....they are probably the best known Ukranian athletes ever.

And they have such globally known legends as Andriy Shevchenko and Dmitry Lobchenkanovic to compete with., so that's saying something.

My g/f is Ukrainian - She tells me they're huge out there and love the Klitschko's. Her Father and Brother watch K2 matches almost religiously.

And a standard price for a match is about 30 Euros (not much) - We were considering going to the Solis - Vitali fight.. Good job we didn't, hey!

Complete crap. The Klitschkos are arguably the most popular figures in Ukraine, on par only with the footballer Andriy Shevchenko.

That's right. Although seeing that both Madonna and RHCP both easily managed to fill the largest stadium in the country this summer things have changed dramatically for the better during the last decade. So it seems to me that standard ticked prices for the Klitschko fights won't be a handicap anymore.
