Why do people keep going on about naming a date for its demise. It's losing millions, that's fine with me. Anything that ****s Fish over is all good with me.
To further my earlier post, Adam from BoxNation called to explain the situation, by the sounds of it, it's down to Sky, but as BoxNation is a 3rd party channel (and boxing broadcasting rival), they wouldn't likely go to much effort to rectify the problem. Contacted Sky, no reply as yet. It doesn't seem there is a solution in the near future, and I don't hold out much hope of the Ward broadcast tonight being any better. Shame, I want to support the channel, but find it too frustrating to watch in HD with all the glitches, and might as well turn to illegal streams if I'm stuck with the regular SD channel.
I spoke to Sky albeit via the online chat service - they suggested update the EPG to the latest firmware. I did that two weeks back but the problem still remains. I am hoping the Ward fight is okay but if it continues to glitch then I think it will throw in the towel with BoxNation because of this problem. What's strange is that when I subscribed previously - with the same equipment I'm using now, I had no problems but when I signed back-up, I get this problem... and no other channel has any issues. I subscribe to BT Sports and Premier Sport and both are okay. What I will say is that I do record UFC and BoxNation boxing at the same time - so there might be interference but tonight, I'm only recording the boxing so I shall see if that makes a difference.
I've just done an EPG update, still don't hold out too much hope. At least the person you spoke too at Sky offered some help, the guy I spoke to hadn't heard of BoxNation and asked me if the wires were connected at the back of my (Sky) box? Fingers crossed for the Ward fight later.
On the live HD channel? The regular SD channel (437) is fine, but as mentioned, the picture quality is no better than free streams
I can confirm that I still had the issue with the picture throughout the broadcast on the HD channel. I did not have any other recordings going either; I changed my HDMI wires, and updated the EPG to the latest firmware - all in vain! How was it for you Bob?
Same for me last night We all should ReTweet the Boxnation promotional Tweets with a quote They come back to you really quickly because this is their main marketing platform Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I have reTweeted the Spence v Bundu promo message with a quote about the flickering Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Watched the Ward fight last night and can confirm excellent picture quality and zero flickering but not viewed on Boxnation. The fight was shown in numerous countries last night and ALL foreign fights are NOT exclusive to Boxnation.
