Interference on the BoxNation HD channel

    I'm pleased to see everyone had the same problem as me last night... not pleased, but you know what I mean.

    I've sent a message via the Enquiries page on Frank ******'s website asking for him or a member of his senior team to investigate the issue. I'll keep you informed if I get a reply.

    Does anyone have any ideas on what else we could do? I would call Sky but I don't have the patience... as the channel broadcasts during the early hours on weekends whatever they "do" cannot be verified if it's fixed the problem until the next fight is on... at this rate, it could takes weeks/ months - trying one thing after another. Therefore, BoxNation really do take action to resolve this - happy to take a lead on this for everyone but just need some suggestions.

    Would be interested to hear if you get any response from Frank ******s website.

    Not sure what else can be done, I contacted BoxNation again this morning, no reply, I guess keeping this thread going will keep them aware of the on going problem if nothing else.

    When speaking to BoxNation, I offered to contact Sky and they said there's not much chance of them doing anything - which Sky didn't when I did contact them, but surely Sky would take more notice of BoxNation contacting them to express the complaints than a customer?

    I hope there's a solution to this, personally, I'm giving it until the end of the month, if there's no improvement I'm cancelling as the SD channel is no better than free streams.

    As Boxnation effectively rents the channel space off Sky they ultimately should do something about it but Sky really won't take that much notice unless it's one of their own channels.

    If people unsubscribe then they will take notice and do something.

    I got the following from Sky this morning.. not much help..

    "Thank you for your email.

    I understand you are BoxNation customer and experiencing picture issue with their HD channels.

    I wish to inform you that we do not provide technical help for the third party service. Hence, I request you to contact BoxNation to fix the fault.

    I hope this information has helped with your enquiry. If you require any further assistance, you can reply to my email.

    I got this yesterday from BoxNation:

    in regards to contacting Sky you are free to do so however we are a third party service and they are in their rights to say to contact us and as it is their equipment we are in our rights to say to contact Sky. For many reasons which I have noted to you before and will not be repeating, the issue lies with frequency and therefore is down to Sky receiver/satelite dish.

    I have provided a month at half price as a goodwill gesture but if you are unhappy with this you will need to phone us to cancel on 0344 842 5005 (10am-7pm Monday to Sunday). as we have provided all the information and support we can.

    I've not heard back from the email i sent to Frank ******'s website.

    Thanks for the post Bob - it's just ridiculous that nobody takes accountability for this from Sky or BoxNation.

    I thought this might be their stance to be honest. As someone else has said as it's not really a money maker for Sky I'm not surprised they aren't too bothered by it. Super annoying for you guys though

    I just called Platform Control at Sky - these are the people who look to replicate and resolve these issues.

    I spoke to Jennifer and she noted down the problem and will be sending to the engineers to look into/ resolve. They can resolve issue pretty quick I was told but this issue won't be so swift - because the next broadcast on BoxNation HD is 21 August.

    There is no case number but Jennifer did say I could call back to check for progress update. Platform Control will be contacting BoxNation I was told.

    For reference, the telephone number for Platform Control is 03442 411 295.

    She was far more helpful that Cust. Service - if you're not upgrading, they don't want to know, so this sounds like progres.... I'll keep you posted if I hear anything.

    Bob, contact Adam at BN about getting a discount on your viewing - that's what I did and as you can see from the above correspondence, it was granted.

    Thanks Fight Fan,

    When I spoke to Adam over the weekend he offered the discount and insisted I take it - I wasn't overly bothered about the money, I think BoxNation is good value.

    He was quite helpful, and as it seems to have turned out correct that it was down to Sky not BoxNation.

    If I get time I'm going to call Platform Control at Sky as well - the more who contact them/complain, the more likely it is that this will get sorted out.

    If you get around to calling Platform Control, let us know what they say.... only advice, if they say to contact Cust. Services, say you have and that has not helped because they say to contact BoxNation.... goes around in circles.

    Sky now say contact Pilot Control at Heathrow Airport and ask why there is no flight booking time for the Boxnation Tinpot Two Seater Charter Flight to London City
