You have to be logically consistent, you cannot say Russian superiority in pro boxing is because of steroids, yet say American superiority in the medal tables is because of hard work and dedication. What is it going to be? There are great athletes on both sides, PED's would be the tipping point. If Russia was consistently ahead of the United states in the medal tables and Pro boxing at the same time, maybe Russia is competing with more steroid users.

 

People who think any athletics world records are still being broken in this century by totally "clean" athletes are deluding themselves badly.

Russia is the country which has been exposed at the moment, but EVERY great athletic nation is winning with juiced athletes.

There has always been strong suspensions about the Klitschos and their long term steroid use.

You can rest assured any relevant boxer in today's fighting landscape is one something. The most cheating nation on the planet, would be the one that comes two places ahead of Russia on a consistent basis in athletics and the overall medal table.

 

It seems in order to compete, Europe has a long history of PED drug taking.

I grew up on Asian martial arts movies and it's not surprising that there are dozens of historically accurate martial arts movies from China to Korean to Japan to Vietnam that show Asian martial artists going up against England and Russian boxers and they all show England and Russians using PEDs, even in the early 1800s. :yep

I wouldn't be at all surprised if PED usage is so common in Europe that it's ingrained in the social fabric of it's nations.
