i always thought that an international title, or inter-continental title, gave a top 15 ranking to the winner.

    seems its not the case.

what ranking does it give ?

in general it does but its up to the organisation whether they rank them or not.

the WBC, IBF, WBO, WBA have various regional and minor belts that give fighters a ranking.

they usually do ,but the last 18 months weve seen an explosion of them and its just redicloious could see .Did anyone notice last weeks witter fight was for the WBC International "silver" title ...i mean come on .The international title itself if defened 3 times could earn you into a mandatory postion ,but now they have a silver title for this

i wouldn't mind all these belts if they actually meant fighters were mandated to fight each other.

Like the WBA regular champion and the WBA Super Champ should have to fight eachother.
