I do watch quite a few of these on YouTube, but I find myself constantly skipping segments. There is only so many times I can hear about Fury, AJ, his Excellency etc I wish every now and then they would do interviews with the promoters and it be purely based around the other boxers. Every interview is 80% on the normal topics. I'd really like it if every 8 weeks or something they did a sit down with Eddie, Frank or Shalom and just discussed the other fighters they promote. *this is just incase anyone with these outlets read the forum. I am really bored of hearing in what shape Fury is
I rarely watch boxing media online these days. Watching all the pundits and ex fighters give whatever opinion fits the narrative really pisses me off. Everyone is scared of criticising or even favouring an opponent to win incase they get shut out in the boxing wilderness. You have the likes of Fury who has made a mockery out of the sport over the last few years and no one is suppose to call him out on it?? There are only a handful of people in boxing who aren't afraid of saying what they think. Carl Froch being one.
I'm sick to death of hearing about the politics between all the promoters, Matchroom VS Queensbury etc. This isn't WWE.
No I really think there is a gap in the market, for occasional sit downs and just talking through their rosters of fighters. On the Boxnation interview with Frank the other day, 28 minutes of the same old drivel, then 2 minutes on the Bentley card. I'd be a lot more inclined to listen to an interview going through these cards, and the fighters on them. I know Tyson looks in incredible, I know the Saudi promo's are insane, I know the 5x5 is amazing. I'd quite like to hear the plans for a Tommy Fletcher that kind of stuff
Same, i used to spend hours literally every night watching every minute of every interview from IFL and Boxing social from like 2016-2020, like the classic 30 minute Sam Jones or Dave Coldwell's interview on Zoom you see now on Sunday after a US fight Saturday night, i would watch all 30 minutes of it, i was more of a hardcore back then, now i consider myself i 'casual hardcore', i keep up with the news on twitter and follow it all, but i don't watch as much as i used to, maybe that's just what growing up does to you, but the only interviews i watch now are Hearn ones, all the others bore me to tears, i've gone from watching everything to practically nothing, and i'm not missing out all, i literally don't care what Dave Coldwell's opinion of Fury Usyk is, it makes no difference to my life.
