Didn't say he deserved it, but what goes around comes around and I have no sympathy for him.

 

I didn't necessarily like what he did outside the ring either but the man was a great fighter and anyone that tries to discredit that is out of their mind. And that goes for those who feel Nigel destroyed him. Yes Nigel was giving Gerald a good fight but Gerarld was winning with two knock downs up until the injury was exposed.

I've got the Jackson fight on DVD.....Jackson was half blind at the time IIRC.

 

good point, you haven't... It just seems that every Nigel fan on here says that Nigel Kicked Gerald's ass. I dont see it that way.

The point is the man had kids who will never know there father the way he was .. Boxing in it self is pointless cruelty but you don't see anyone crying when these fighter don't make it back home from the ring.

 

A boxer has a choice whether to fight.

A dog doesn't.

Nigel Benn's power was sickening and unfortunately Gerald gad a good chin so taking all those bombs contributed to building up the swelling in his brain. These are the fights that make you understand why a Ref stops a fighter on his feet when to the outsider it seems that fight can still continue.
