Kessler really had nothing for ward. Calzaghe made kessler back straight up and rushed him with a speedy inside attack from the 4th/5th round on. Ward did it from the first round on. Techniques to make Kessler back straight up were different but Kessler still had the same problem that he never overcame against calzaghe. Kessler wasn't in his prime anymore as far as sharpness and that could be attributed to long layoffs and age. His Flaw was still the same though and it was used against him by a fighter who had to physical tools to do so.

Another thing is when ward was sitting on the outside, Kessler couldn't do anything with him there either. His last fight with froch, He made sure to stand his ground and not let froch back him up, which was what I thought he had to do going in. I really don't think it mattered what he could try against ward. He was gonna lose badly regardless.

Never mind the Injury being the reason why he traded with Froch - what's of greater importance is, if he's unable to walk down stairs, how will he ever box again?

    Jesus! :-(

Which is merely because the posting population of ESB (consisting of a majority of ignorant kids) is 95% white and 50% full of bigots.

Surely any honest person (i.e., ADULT) can note the obvious.

    Wake up man.

Hope he recovers fully. It's like this tournament was forged by the devil himself. AA - Ward would be the fight to see.

    fair call.

but isnt it also fair to say that after calzaghe retired from the supermiddles, which hadn't been a strong division for years, needed a shot in the arm?

there was no standout fighter after joe retired.

I'll tell you something, I said right after Kessler vs Froch that even though Kessler won 8-4, he looked like a better fighter against Ward than Froch. Kessler looked alot more sloppy than usual when he beat Froch.

I had Frock beating Kessler. Ward's billy goat head butt did the damage and his referee helped him. Bute Vs. Ward is the fight I want to see, but Ward would never agree to such.

Did you have Froch winning by backing up all night from his oponnent ? Did Froch stalk Kessler like he did for Taylor, Pascal, ... ?

And you are among the last 5% that keeps whining about what "color of skin" other posters have!

Maybe you should tell yourself to wake up instead!

Bleeding is not his problem. Bleeding was just another symptom that he was headbutted.

The headbuts destroyed some vision nerves that are not close to the surface.

The truth is what it is.

There are ample posts to support the contention and the demographic stats on the site's posting population would provide the causality.

No need to hide from the obvious. Old biases run deep and are still quite pervasive - this site demonstrates that over and over again.
