why did he choose to vacate his ibf title rather than face celestino caballero who wass his mandatory at the time?
Could you ask him if there are plans for a 5th fight if marquez was to win and make it 2-2 and whether the fight will be on british tv because for me without doubt it will be the fight of the year again, Cheers.
You could ask him if there are any up and coming Mexican prospects, other than Canelo Alvarez, to watch out for.
1. Y he left Roach, and whether that had any effect on his career 2. Whether he regrets quitting in the first fight 3. whether he thinks the wars with Marquez have shortened his career significantly 4. What was going thru his head in that last round of the 3rd fight 5. if he wins, any plans to fight the likes of Caballero, Gamboa, John, Juanma etc i'm sure there's others, just cant think of them right now....
No self-respecting boxing fan is going to disrespect Vazquez by asking him something like this. You try inhaling your own blood through your broken nose during an intense aerobic workout. Then ask him yourself. He didn't quit; he was physically unable to continue.
Hindsight is 20/20, had it been the third fight and he was in a similar position, i dont think he would have quit, thats why i asked the question, its perfectly valid.
Had it been the third fight and he was unable to breathe, yes he would have and that doesn't even need to be asked. Breathing is a vital function.
You make it sound like he had a plastic bag over his head, he seemed ok when he walked over to Rafael's corner to congratulate him. I think he was expecting an easier fight than he got, a smaller fighter, who he expected to bully, and when he got the broken nose, he thought forget it, i'll get him next time. Of course this wouldnt have been an option in the third fight, the adrenaline would have got him thru it.
