    I think the writer's spot on. Mayweather just gave Mosley the look he wasn't planning for.

    :lol::lol:At the highlighted part. Castillo won 4 rounds in the rematch, far from a shutout.

    Vivek even thinks Floyd should replace Lennox as HBO's broadcaster, because of his high iq, and the fact that he is "easy on the eyes."
    Enough said

    Big difference in being shutdown and shut out. Castillo wasn't shut out. But what Floyd did to him was a pretty decent definition of shutting him down. Meaning he turned Castillo's entire effort into an exercise in futility.

    I disagree with this. I think there is a blueprint to beat Floyd, and the right fighter could pull it off. Castillo beat Floyd by backing him up and utilizing intelligent pressure, Jesus Chavez fought Floyd in a phonebooth, overcame him with volume and forced Floyd to change his tactics, and Oscar gave Floyd all sorts of problems by coming forward behind a jab until he tired.

    Therefore, I believe a fighter who uses a strong jab and comes forward intelligently, backs Floyd up and throws a lot of punches, could beat him. He'd need to be fast, strong, defensively astute, be a good bodypuncher, and have great stamina though.

    I also think Pac could beat him by fighting in a different way, but that's purely based on Pac's strengths and style, I don't think anyone else could beat him the same way as Pac would.

    Basically, Floyd is great but is eminently beatable.

    He didn't say he shut him out, he said he shut him down, i.e. he took away his strengths.

    That Castillo fight was his first fight in the new division. His body has filled out now. He's a legit 147 and if anyone were to muscle Floyd around, it would have come May 1st. There isn't anyone on the horizon that can beat Floyd at 147 now.

    Roach is a fool if he thinks PBF has no legs.

    Here's what Ishe Smith(Smith worked as a sparring partner for Mayweather's fight against Mosley) said about Mayweather's legs being gone;

    "Manny said he would have finished him, well I highly doubt Manny would be able to hit him with those wild looping shots he throws. And I will say this again, if he starts camp with mediocre fighters, he will lose just like Shane and Oscar did. Roach now says Floyd's legs are gone? Surprisingly Roach has all of a sudden become the Pope of boxing.

    We all know he(Mayweather) has blazing hand-speed. What is even faster is his footwork. I am a pretty damn good counter-puncher and so is Steve Forbes. A lot of times this guy's legs and footwork was so fast that he was in and out before we could counter him. I have purposely tried to lure him into a trap by baiting him to throw a punch, but when I pulled the trigger he was gone. I’m going to let Freddie believe his legs are gone"

    Notice vs the bigger fighter in Mosley Mayweather looked to bully him and pressure him and walk him down.

    Yet vs the smaller fighter in Marquez, Mayweather choose to not use his size and purely box him.

    Mayweather outboxed Marquez who was known as the best boxer/counter puncher out. Mayweather fought and bullied Mosley who was known as the stronger, bigger, faster fighter. Even vs Hatton, Mayweather allowed Hatton to use his pressure style and set the tone of the fight and still neutralized everything Hatton did.

    Very true, Floyd biggest advantage in the ring is that so many fighter under estimate him.. So many Floyd distractors would leave you to believe floyd is a runner, even though he has shown that his inside fight game is just as good as his outside fight game. Floyd can counter punch and if needed can lead and use his speed to create opening. Then it gets even worse, Floyd has proven that even if he didn't have speed he would still be just as dangerous as fighter like Duran who didn't need speed to beat faster opponents but just pure boxing know how..
