i would say it was his showmanship in the ring that made him for me.i just think his babelling didnae work for me.I dont know why i just dont like to see uk fighters do it,if its an american i can stomach it (i cant explain it any other way)

but your right he did entertain many a boxing fan,and he certainly netertained me.

 

God I hated Naz.

Believe me, you're not in the minority on here. The vast majority hated him in my experience. Now if you were one of the few who could see beyond his general twattishness and realise that he was actually a hell of a fighter you would be in a tiny minority (which does include my good self).

 

He was a brilliant fighter but an absolute wanker. Lets forget all this "just hyping the fight" "he's a character" bla bla bla, he was an arrogant twat. I loved watching him though.

 

I'd go along with the very good but not great assessment. Maybe he could have been up there as an ATG and he certainly looked like he had what it took as far as skills go but he hadn't got the nessecary heart in the end.

He did well distpaching a decent enough division and being top of that particular tree for a few years but when he stepped it up against one of the best P4P guys out there he got completey owned and never came back from it. Just looked back over the fight on a few clips there and I forgot just how completely MAB dominated the fight. He really did box the ears off Hamed. And I have to say I could never stand Naz and the way he carried on towards other fighters so I took a lot of pleasure in watching MAB bounce his head off the turnbuckle. It was a comfortable win even with the dedcution. What lets Naz down is that he never went after any of the elite after that fight. No rematch, no mixing it up at the next level, he just beat Calvo then disappeared

 

McGuigan would have killed this overrated idiot in the same way Berrera did. An absolute mess of a human being.

 

I was about 14, 15 when Naz came on the scene, so i was impressed with all his boasting and antics. Now I'm older if someone like Hamed came onto the scene I'd probably think he was a complete tool.

 

Oh and why not? Barrera has shown nothing but a good chin 36 rounds of WAR against Morales among other fights and somehow Naz is just going to magically knock him out?

 

That is well funny. Naz would have retired Baz for good within 5 rounds.

 

Prime motivated Ingle trained Naz would have knocked them all out.

there is a little bit of the re-writing of history going on here regarding the barrera fight.naz was outclassed.one fighter was well drilled in all the arts of the sweet science,who had the flexibility and talent to alter his style and gameplan to suit his opponent.the other mainly only had one game plan and in total contrast was drilled mainly in bad habits,and despite his outrageous power those deficincies were exposed when he came up against a real top class opponent and atg.
