In Tokyo Japan Kazuto Ioka and Donnie Nietes will do battle again after there first fight almost four years ago in Macau China where Nietes scored a close SD win over Ioka to capture the WBO belt which Ioka now has. Last time around they were 3 division champions, but now both are 4 division champions (pretty rare match up). This will be Ioka's 22nd world title bout while this will be Nietes' 20th title bout.

Why did Nietes get a tattoo at 40 years old? Kinda reeks of a midlife crisis to me.

Chopping that in two with an axe would be far more beneficial.

Also, I can't help it, it's involuntarily, I now always neurally associate Nietes' face with @PinoyProdigy

I have Ioka topping the 40 year old Filipino marvel by comfortable decision.

Maybe he just felt like it instead of going down the psychological path…

I thought Ioka edged the first fight and will be rooting for him in this one.

Both are past their best and i hope whoever wins doesnt get fed to Bam.

    Ioka should win this.

I want bigger and better fights for his after this.

P.S last fights scorecard was BS. There is no way someone would see fight and score 116-112 for one guy and 110-118 for the other guy.

Rematch came a little too late but it'll also give Ioka a chance to redeem that "loss" to Nietes. The first fight was brilliant and could have gone either way. I expect Ioka to win this more convincingly against the older Nietes, who seems to be on his way out.

If Nietes does indeed lose against Ioka then it'll be pretty sad for Filipino boxing. You have Pac retired, and then you have Ancajas, Donaire, and Magsayo losing their latest fights, and most likely Nietes soon.
